Maine General Health

Literally was in there for over five hours and saw a nurse/Doctor maybe twice, got stuck with a needle, and discharged. No advice. No follow up. No assistance whatsoever. This place is a giant scam of the healthcare system. Love that there's what looks like a church's tower on top because you're more likely to die here than receive medical help. Find anywhere else. Giant waste of time and money and still had to see a different Doctor. Oh, and wait until you tell them you have no insurance. You might as well be told to leave. I wish I could give no stars for the treatment I witness in there.

This place is a disgrace. Very dirty. They leave stuff all over the floor. Blood pressure cuff on the floor and then will reuse it on the patient. Trash all over the floor and don't even care to clean it. Half the time they don't even listen to what's going on. They gave someone that is very close to me the wrong medication and made their situation worse. Knowing it didn't mix well with her other meds and even looked at her med list and still proceeded to give her the medication that made it worse.

My boyfriend came in to the Thayer Emeregency room. We met Dr. Parker, she shook our hands immediately and introduced herself. Helped him with his pain and made sure he was treated well. Overall a great experience.
