Really enjoyable Greek restaurant on Markham Main St. I had their chicken souvlaki dinner and wow… there was a lot to eat. Chicken very nice as were all the accompanying rice, potatoes and Greek salad. I also ordered pita and hummus and didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. Superb little spot, and next time I’ll be more adventurous on the menu!
I really wish I could give this place higher stars because I really wanted to love this place I really, really did!, but the food was just not up to par. My partner and I shared the Moussaka and Gyro Dinner. Though the portions are large, the quality of the food is a bit lacklustre. The gyros in particular were VERY dry and criminally under-seasoned. I was also quite surprised to find that the gyros resembled shawarma rather then the shaved ground meat texture I was expecting. The moussaka was nice, but there was far too much nutmeg in the béchamel. Maybe a bit of an off day for the kitchen. I heard from a friend this place was really good…. Overall I can leave happy with our experience here. Especially because of the wonderful service from Benny. Rating probably would’ve been lower, but you just can’t deny good service! Thank you again for helping us tonight. We might be back to give a second chance for the food.
My favourite Greek food place! Authentic, family run restaurant the best and freshest foods!! Must try: Chicken souvlaki dinner comes with garlic bread, Greek salad, potatoes and white Pork gyro pita Greek salad
The food, ambience and service altogether was amazing, since it was a weekday so not much busy and easy to get a place to dine-in during the evening time for dinner. I must say that the gyros dinner had too much of potatoes in it which can be reduced instead and replaced with some more gyros portion :P but overall a good experience!
It was a nice treat to find an authentic Greek restaurant in Markham. The server was friendly, checked in on us several times and made good food recommendations. The calamari had the perfect amount of breading, the lemon soup avyolemono was delicious and the chicken gyros were good. The dips were ok - I thought the taramasalata was a little different than I was used to, but still ok.
This place is a great place, nice food that reminds you A LOT of Greece... FIX HELLAS beer...only with that they deserve 5 stars.... but I don't give 5stars easy The only I didn't like, is that "canadian""non exist" ceiling... as you'll see in the photo, they should put a ceiling there and not leave all the ductwork exposed like that, but that's a small thing... I recommend this place. I've never been there before, but I had ordered many times.
Simply, WOW… perfectly seasoned, asked for medium rare lamb chops, beautifully pink in the middle.. the rice and potatoes are SO good… unbelievable, will definitely come back.
My family and I enjoyed our meals here. It's the standard Greek food, but it's a mom and pop restaurant that we would gladly give our business to. The decor is nice and bright making it very welcoming. We look forward to eating there again.Food: 5/5
