This is a good park for all ages. All the trails here are flat.nWhen you have a walk, you can see all the nice good sea view.nThere are a new playground for kids. We see a food truck there on weekday. A good looking resthroom.nIf you have more time, visiting the New Castle Island is a good idea. The pier is while in the park.nThe city offers us 3 hours free parking in the park.nIf you want better restaurant, head to the Old City Quarter in the downtown for your meal. There are also many shops there too.
Stunning playground, so much to do. Spent 2 hours while wAiting for ferry. Had lots of fun on many unusual attractions like the enclosed seat Zipline small child can go on . Beautifully decorated with Indigenous art. Soft spongy flooring. One of the 2 most beautiful playgrounds I've been. And lovely long walk along the shoreline.
Wow! I was not expecting such a beautiful park in the middle of Nanaimo. The kids playground and the shallow swim and beach area are worth it by themselves.nThe view is amazing, and there are benches and picnic areas as well as a large field.nParking is free and there are bathrooms.
Great place for a walk along the seawall, either a short walk down to the marina or the longer walk all the way into town. Lots of tables in the park for summertime picnics too.
The park has a large parking lot, a children's play area, and walking trails around it. You can enjoy crabbing and fishing at the small pier along the beach. If you like BBQ outdoor parties or overnight camping, you can buy a boat ticket to Newcastle Island to explore. There are 2 level 2 charging stations for electric vehicles in the parking lot for 1.5 CAD per hour.
