Mad Dog's Pizza & Hamburgers

Excellent!! We stopped on our way to Grand Portage! I had the Tuscan chicken salad and woah it was delicious and HUGE!! The service was super friendly and the atmosphere was great for a bar setting. It wasn’t dark and dingy but designed with intention! I’m so glad we stopped in!

I order the chicken Cordon Blue pizza. I'll be honest. It gave me an orgasm. It's hard to impress me with pizza. It's really played out in my opinion. Everyone has "The best pizza in town" etc etc. This establishment might just be one that's actually true. Enjoy your food but be ready to peak at a moments notice.

Like a lot of places, they are dealing with staffing issues/shortages. Plan for the food to take a little longer than you might expect, but it's worth it. They have great pizza and so many appetizers. Their wings are the best! Just don't be in a hurry and you'll have a great experience!

Absolutely AMAZING FOOD! The Bloody Mary was Pretty Excellent also! But for real…. Food is absolutely Excellent…. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Their pizza has potential to be pretty good if they would make it the way a person ask and pays for We ordered DOUBLE BEEF and were sad to get what was delivered. I counted out the pieces of beef 19 - so that being DOUBLE means they must only put 9.5 pieces of beef on a regular medium pizza. There were so many pieces with no beef or only 1 piece of beef per slice. They seem to just be skimpy on toppings, sadly after you request and pay for extra... Mad Dog's idea of extra beef and mine are polar opposites... Other than that - pretty darn good pizza - I'd say one of the better pies we've found in the northern half of the state - definitely probably in the top 10. Trust me we have hit just about everywhere

Best pizza I have ever had. And I've had a lot. Fill of toppings and crispy well done crust. Like brick oven good.

Sometimes you just have a hankering for a Reuben. I have tried all Reuben sandwiches in Grand Rapids with mixed results, but have never ordered from Mad Dog’s until today. HANDS DOWN THE BEST REUBEN IN TOWN! My order was delivered in less time than they projected. Side salad was an adequate size, and the Blue Cheese dressing was very good . Minor critique on their Thousand Island dressing, as it had a weird cardboard taste, but all in all I was quite satisfied. Will be a repeat customer!

The toppings were great, very flavorful, but for me a pizza is dependent upon having a good crust. Unfortunately these pizzas did not have a good crust. Very dense and flavorless. If the crust had been even decent, I would have rated 5 stars.

You can order online which is easy and handy. If you order curbside pickup, park outside the east door - there’s a sign on that door saying to call if you’re waiting to pick food up. Their cauliflower crust is really good. Not the fastest place and it’s a dive but it’s locally owned and the food is good.

BEST PIZZA EVERRRR!! down side is that you need a dollar to play their arcade machines.Food: 5/5
