Qmazing time at Ma Mère En Feu with their incredibly tasty and huge chicken burgers – one of the biggest I've ever had! The poutine was equally delightful. What made the experience even better were the cool and friendly owners. Plus, their impressive collection of vinyl records adds a unique charm to the place. If you're a burger lover, music enthusiast, or just looking for a great time, this spot is a must-visit!
We don't know where to start describing how much we enjoyed ourselves at @mamereenfeu. The Nashville Fried Chicken burger was divine. The fiery sauce reaches that perfect level of heat just before "too much" while still being flavourful and somehow sweet at once. The sheer size of it makes ordering a side inadvisable. But we did it anyway. A wonderful classic poutine that checks all the boxes. A straight-forward, no-nonesense casse-croûte with real people eating real food. No bells and whistles, no filler. Everything... The eclectic decor brimming with local artifacts that seem like it they were collected over a lifetime, the beavers, the vinyl record shop, the rubber hose art adorned facade *and* the fact that we heard about this through mysterious aquantiances... Everything about this place encompasses what @best_quests is about.
This place is seriously elite. Impeccable decor and vibes. One of the best fried chicken sandwiches of my life. Guédille and gazpacho like are you kidding? Guy even said "I got some clams in this morning I can think of some sort of special to whip up for you" what's better than that? Oh, and not to mention that the prices are like going back in time. Look at that fried chicken sandwich. It was 12 dollars. 5 stars/no notes.
The food and atmosphere is awesome. The owner is extremely down to earth and friendly. Did I say the food is awesome? Also very affordable, McDonald's is more expensive than this restaurant. but this burger is miles ahead of most your typical "high end burgers" highly recommend overall.Food: 5/5
Blue ange burger and fried chicken burger. Delicious. Nothing more, nothing less. Will be returning.Food: 5/5
It feels like that small-town casse-croute that's run by your favorite uncle and where everyone knows each other. Except the food is REALLY TASTY. We come here often. It hits that sweet-spot between my partner's need for hamburgers/sandwiches/etc and my need for food that's actually good. Vegetarian options: several yummy vegan options Parking: park on des Carrieres street. you will almost certainly find something within two blocks.
We came in, almost slipped on the floor, which was wet. Rhe waiter was outside smoking and came to see what we wanted. We asked if we could sit, he said yes and went back to smoke. We stayed at the table for 10 minutes, no one came to take our order or anything, there was only 1 other table's worth of people who were done eating... the music was too loud. We left without trying the burgers :
Incredible fried chicken sandwiches. Huge pieces of chicken, uniquely battered with delicious jewish egg bread buns. The specials seemed dope too.Food: 5/5
I come once a week. Dynamite. Best burgers I've ever had.Food: 5/5
14$ for a burger no fries was a high price to pay. But i have to admit, it was good. Really nice and really grunge at the same time. Its perfect. Owner took the time to explain the cider and wine selection and the cook is a nice guy.
