Story

Gastropub is a British term – a combination of gastronomy and pub, these locations specialize in high-quality food and drinks.
Located in the historic downtown of Arnprior, Ontario, Lumbertown Ale House opened its doors on October 17th 2016 with one goal in mind: to serve the people.
At Lumbertown Ale House, we strive to provide high quality food and drinks in a comfortable and sophisticated environment. We use the freshest ingredients in all of our dishes and take pride in our house made menu features.
By featuring Ontario craft beers and wines on tap, we work to maintain a local focus and offer what the people expect from us: freshness and quality.

Well, if the appearance is all to go by, expect classic pub food. But, you would be wrong and delightfully surprised! Had the privilege and pleasure of a post wedding celebrating here. What a great choice! Food, service, and drinks are really great! Had the not so great pleasure of trying a Caesar drink here, apparently a popular Canadian drink. This will be one of those memories that will be forever imprinted in my mind - that feral taste is not fit for accurate description! That said, the locals tell me it's one of the best Caesar drinks around! I opted for the cocktails, all really great. As for the food.. gourmet, no less! A chicken, served top-notch and gourmet style! Judging by the copious compliments on the table of the food, I'm sure that all food here is sensational!
Was excited to return after a top shelf experience some time ago that had me tell a dozen people to visit you.nnBut you are only as good as what your chef decides to send out. Dec 29h at 6pm your chef decided that soggy fish and chips was good enough for me.

Stopped by for a quick bite on our way back to Ottawa. I loved that I can pick 3 different choices of tacos; picked shrimp, steak and fish. It was DELICIOUS and TASTY. The food is fresh and perfect blend of flavors. nnFor drinks I ordered Lumbertown Lemonade. You can choose the fruit and alcohol you like. I chose Mixed Berry with gin.. Citrusy but needed more gin.nnService and staff was great. Even with busy crowd the food was served in timely manner.nnThey also gave live music on Saturday. Will come back again.
What a great vibe! Super friendly and accommodating. Hoping this Five Star review gets us some extended time, on the patio , past their closing time.
