My wife and I have both been getting our hair done by Angela for a few years and recently she styled both our hair for our wedding - which included a way-out-of-the-way drive! She always does a great job and she’s easy to talk to. We can’t recommend her enough!
I walked in off the street and made an appointment with Lumar-J and I'm really so happy I did! The cost for a wash and cut is absolutely affordable to the point of being a steal. My stylist Angela was able to provide an amazing cut just based on simple questions about my needs and daily routine with my hair. I will definitely return.
Went here for the first time today and it was definitely a bizarre experience! I called and was able to get a same-day appointment. The place is nice. The owner was there and seemed like she is a good stylist. I told the other guy, cutting my hair, that I wanted layers. He said “No, all one length. You’ll see.” As he was cutting my hair, I said “I just want to make sure it’s not a blunt cut. I want lightness and movement at the ends.” He said “No, easier to take care of this way. I’ll show you.” I have a LOT of long hair, and my cut took ten minutes. No blow dry. When he was done, I said it wasn’t what I wanted, he said it looked good, I payed, and left. $35 plus tip.
I have long thick, heavy, wavy/curly hair and Lisa knows just how to handle it. She gives a great, personalized cut based on your hair type and is honest about what will flatter you and what wont. She is fab with color and does amazing up-dos--she did my whole wedding party including 7 bridesmaids, my nana and mom and me and everyone was super happy with their hair. She is quick, punctual and funny as hell!
I'm over two decades old and the only stylist who is allowed to do my hair works at this salon. I have been going here since before it was Lumar J and the quality has remained the same - fantastic. There is no other place I will go and once my stylist retires, I'm probably never going to get another haircut.

Wonderful caring talented people capable of doing anything with your hair! All covid rules strictly enforced. Male and female stylists available. Parking lot right across from them. The only place I have gone for decades.
I'm a guy that like his hair a certain way and it's hard to find someone to get it right everytime. I can now count on 2 hands how many times I've had Angela style my hair! She gets the fade perfect everytime with no fuss!!! I've seen her work on womens hair too and she's definitely someone that know what's she doing! Lumar-J 5 stars!
