Great food! Went for the first time today and got one of the massaman curry. It is a true thai medium curry, making it pretty spicy compared to most scales which was a great surprise! We were told it was all authentic with their own recipes made in house. The veggies were nice and crisp, and not over cooked and served fairly quickly. Definitely would go again
We wanted Pad Thai so we checked it out. Portions were good and the meals were great. My wife had the special which was very tasty as well. I had a 4 out of 5 spicy scale and it definately had some zing to it. We liked it very much and will be back for more.
Our family was hungry for Thai food and happened upon Lucydia's kitchen. We started with chicken balls and fried dumplings, so delicious. The batter on the chicken balls was a light tempora not heavy and doughy. Our entrees were Pad Thai with chicken, so amazing with incredible depth. Our lovely server Yi Lucy told us it was flavored with tamarind juice and palm sugar. It was so good, we took an extra order home. We ordered our dishes heat level 3, which was perfect. We also ordered their Thai fried rice, spicy noodles and Massaman chicken curry. Everything was amazing. They have been open in Moncton for 4 years!! I am ashamed to say this was our first time going here. We will definitely be going back. If I could give more then 5 stars I would. Thanks for beautiful flavors, excellent value and a nice change from boring food.
This is a little gem with great Thai food. I have lived in Bangkok and this food is very high quality and utterly authentic. I have not tried the Chinese items on the menu, but if they are equally good, they will be outstanding. The outside of the restaurant doesn't look very attractive, this area of the Moncton strip is pretty desperate looking, but overlook that and try it, you won't be disappointed. Be careful with the spices...the yellow curry is mild, the green and red curries are typically Thai and very spicy. The waitress is very attentive to the spice...make sure you follow her advice. Very good luck to Lucydia's and give them a chance!
The food was good, not quite what I was expecting from a Thai red curry, but still very tasty. The lady behind the counter was nice enough to ensure the spice level was OK for me and that I didn't have any allergies. They do have a problem of not having a website or any menu/prices online. Also, the lack of a lunch menu makes it very pricey $19 for one person for a lunch time option.
I like the spicy fried noodle so much there is different level of spicy choose whatever works best for you!will definitely come back again! Took the picture after I started to eat and couldn't stop!I personally like to eat with a little bit vinegar
We had the best experience eating at Lucysia’s tonight. I can’t believe any of the bad reviews here. We had Pad Thai and Green Curry and it all tasted excellent and homemade. It’s a sweet family business with excellent service. Highly recommended!
Delicious food and extremely friendly owner. Love the green curry and signature fried homemade noddles. It’s a perfect combination of Chinese, Thai, and Canadian food. Highly recommended!
Menu is varied and food tasted yummy. They were out of something and offered a replacement. Service was quick even though we were there near closing time on Saturday evening. When asking for mild curry on Massaman curry, was told it was usually mild. But first bite said "hot"!
After hearing such great reviews of this restaurant, I went for lunch one afternoon with a friend to see if it was hyped up to be. I was sorely disappointed. The wonton soup, which is an all-time favorite was beyond watered down with a couple of drops of Sesame Oil. There was no flavor to the pork itself and the wonton wrapper was still very doughy. I purchased the daily special and while I did enjoy the chicken balls, the egg roll tasted exactly like the ones from Giant Tiger. The rice was quite dry and beyond salty. A friend who also joined me ordered a Pad Thai which for the price, you were better off going to Vien Dong as it lacked flavor and the noodles were cold as well, almost microwaved. Although the service was excellent, this is not a place I would dine at again.
