We received an advertisement in the mail which is how we found out about The Lodge. We liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. It definitely feels like a Wisconsin Lodge. Staff were all very friendly. Good service overall. They had a good selection of beers including a bourbon barrel aged stout. The beer battered cod average, but I liked the spicy slaw. The loaded tater tots could use a bit more toppings. My wife wasn’t unhappy with the Wisconsin pub burger, but thought was just so-so. They have a good atmosphere and service, we weren’t very impressed with the food.
Went to try the fish fry. It was good, wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve ever had BUT there are so many other really good things on their menu. I’ve had the fricken chicken and the black bean other, both phenomenal. My husband refuses to order anything other than the brisket sandwich it’s that good. And we’ve brought our friends here and they’ve all really enjoyed it. Pictured are the jalapeño poppers! Edit: Also pictured is the fricken chicken.
Went there for the first time last night. Didn't come away very impressed. Ordered 4 old fashions which is one of their specials. three sour and one sweet, two with olives and two fruit. All four came back sweet and no olives in any. She did say she would go get some olives but never brought any back. I would also say it was very hard to taste any alcohol in any of the drinks. The second round of drinks didn't go any better. Fish fry was just average, Black bean burger was dry and came with no type of sauce. Hamburger and cheese steak were good. Over all a nice place but not one you would say lets go back. Average drinks and fish fry and service by our waitress I'm sure not all was not good.
Had a baked cod dinner last evening. It was average, fish didn't have a lot of flavor but, some salt and pepper made it better. Coleslaw was good as was rye bread. People post our awesome the old fashions are, not that impressive. Service was good.
Pretty good Friday fish fry. I had the fried cod and enjoyed it. Interesting design in the interior, and a fun little game room off to the side, with a couple of skee-ball machines. Kind of pricey to play the arcade games, given how quick they are. Enjoyed my dinner; will likely be back!
Took us quite a while to get reservations, but called a couple days in advance and was finally able to schedule something. Really cool inside. Food was good, service was great, $5 old fashion was a bonus! #waw #adultingFood: 4/5
Service was fine, fried food was great. The burgers were not pleasant had a weird taste, texture, and the bun was all smashed up on my sons burger. Good food starts by looking good! Food 2 stars Atmosphere 4
Very cute inside. Good happy hour and drink specials. Sadly the food needs work. Burger was very over cooked. The chicken bites appetizers can't remember the exact name of themwere horrible. They had a blenderized filling and some weird flavorless breading. Server was nice enough but really didn't know the menue or the specials. This place is freakin' phenomenal. Fish fry was very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The $5 old fashioneds were amazing and the price is just unbeatable. The atmosphere and decorations made the place feel very comforting. Service was great and our server was very attentive and kind. Will definitely be back for those $5 old fashioneds!
I stopped in for the first time recently since I live in Muskego to try it out. The environment is great as I love the Northwoods vibe. I got a brandy old fashioned which seemed flat overall. I ordered the fricken chicken sandwich and the presentation was great but lacking in any type of seasoning. The service was great and I really enjoyed the mozzarella sticks however. I originally popped in there on a Thursday evening only to be told it was an 1 hour to an 1.5 hour wait so my friends and I went and ate at another Muskego spot. The experience was just middle of the road for me personally.
