I was in town on business and they were recommended by the locals. And I can totally see why! You can get a table but I chose a seat at the bar. Service is above and beyond and I’m convinced everything on the menu is outstanding. Gotta check it out.Recommended dishesEnchilda Dinner
First time going to Lucitas and was so unimpressed I doubt I'll ever return. The margarita was delicious but I was charged separately for strawberry and mango. I guess when I read that the margarita special was strawberry margaritas, I assumed I'd be paying the special price plus mango. The waitress was nice enough. She accidentally made one too many margaritas so we got one on the house. 4 of our meals arrived on time. The 5th meal was forgotten about so we had to wait for her meal. I spent $50 bucks on two meals that were horrendous. We ordered queso. Tasteless. Had to pour salsa in it to eat it. I ordered the carnitas. I recieved more fat than pork and two tiny tortillas. The potatoes were bland and the corn was like mush. I didn't even eat my meal. My hubby enjoyed his fajitas but also hated his sides. Rice was crunchy and black beans were bland. The waitress had issues remembering orders and had to come back multiple times. At one point we just stopped asking because she just kept forgetting. The atmosphere was nice enough. Quiet, but we were the only table there.
The fact that they fed striking laborers from Ingredion during the winter months is enough to get my 100% support. Thank you for supporting the working class backbone of our community. It is of utmost importance that we hold on to the rights of the working class. Thank you Lucita's!
We were greeted right away by very friendly server, who checked on us quite a bit. Steak burrito was very good, and went nicely with my captain morgan. Queso was very good. Loved the spicy cheese balls, which had some good kick to them. Luckily the captain and pepsi quickly put out the fire within my mouth. They had football on the tv too. I will definitely go back to try their other items!
Was surprised when my son vegan asked if a dish on the menu could be made excluding the meat. He was told immediately that he will get what he gets described in the menu. No changes could be made. There wasn't an actual menu with vegan or vegetarian options. Being a Mexican restaurant I would of thought throwing lettuce, rice, beans etc without the meat in a tortilla shell wouldn't have been a big deal as all those options can be ordered on the side. Very disappointed that they wouldn't even consider trying.
Always great food and great service here! Try the cheese crisps or the dos amigos for lunch. You can't go wrong with their queso.Food: 5/5
Great food and personable staff. Best fajitas nachos I've ever had!
We were greeted quickly and warmly and the place was warm, however it was all down hill from there. The chips were not warmed and the salsa lacked any type of authentic flavor. It tasted like a jarred salsa. I had ordered a taco salad with beef and the meat had no flavor whatsoever. The menu noted that it would come with sour cream, however I had to ask for it once my meal was in front of me. My friend order shrimp fajitas for almost $15 and the portion size was pathetic see posted picture. She is a light eater, however I think she left hungry after finishing her full plate. At times we were the only patrons, however we had to ask for a refill on drinks. I can say I will never go back. There are plenty of other tex-mex/mexican establishments in this town with better food, portions, and service.
Food was AMAZING! OUTSTANDING taste, good presentation and EXCELLENT service.Food: 5/5
Absolutely amazing food I had the Lucita Trio which the tamale was my favorite. The Asada potatoes were super good and Brandy was a star at the bar- my wife loved the margaritas! Definitely recommend!
