Lots of parking and the store has a decent layout to find whet you need. Wasn't able to find the 4 x 4 cedar posts they showed in stock the day I went even asked a couple associates, but overall a nice store.
I went to this Rona location today to find some indoor plants, as I hadn't been here before. When I got there I was a bit disappointed with the small display but excited to see some unique plant types that I had been looking for. As I looked closer, nearly all of the plants were sitting in soggy soil and had some kind of severe infestation - I saw fungus gnats, mealy bugs, and spider mites in the span of a few minutes browsing. I've never seen anything this bad. I was disappointed as I was ready to spend quite a lot of money. As I was making my exit, I stopped an employee to see if this was all of their plants, and when she said yes, I said they may want to do a check, as they are all infested. She denied it to my face and said no they're not. I said she may want to take a closer look and walked away, as I'm not going to argue over facts. I spent my money at Home Depot instead but was really surprised at the lack of care given to these beautiful plants and the audacity to deny the shape they were in. Anyone looking for beautiful plants - go to the Home Depot on Curity and skip Rona!
I had a fantastic experience with Gordana, the department manager. She went above and beyond by walking with me all the way to the floor department to help me find the right product. Not only was she incredibly helpful, but she was also very friendly throughout the process. I truly appreciate her effort and dedication! Thank you, Gordana!
Went to Rona today to buy some garden furniture. Was a bit surprised to see so few staff. I went to front and had someone paged. No show. I saw an employee but he was not a sales associate he found Greg for us. Wow Greg who just happened to be passing by the garden/ seasonal area was AWESOME. He really took care of us and helped us all the way through the sale. He even retrieved and helped us load ournpurchase. Best service I’ve ever received at Rona. Great job Greg. I hope Rona appreciates your efforts. We did. Thank you. The cashier was also a pleasure to deal with!
Don't believe their garbage inventory system that gets updated twice per year! Call ahead to have staff visually verify stock level on EVERYTHING, so they waste their time, not your time.nnThey had NO stock on 2 items I drove out of my way wasted gas and time to purchase because their system said they had stock. NOPE. The staff member said she'd change the inventory so others wouldn't waste their time. NOPE. This is an American company that is just as inefficient as the Lowe's that was driven into bankruptcy.nnBuy at a Canadian store instead, that doesn't treat Canadians like cash cows on a feed lot.nn*** Reply to Response from Owner ***nnNo, I won't give your store another chance, and I don't believe your promise of ensuring your online inventory is updated.nnIt's easy for you to write a paragraph, and try to turn a negative review around in people's minds, but it's a lot harder and more expensive to actually fix bad systems and create a better team culture in your employees. If you really wanted to do those things, I wouldn't have needed to write my review.nnYour staff member was nice, and eager to help initially, but she was struggling to look the products up on her own phone and couldn't connect in your giant cement bunker of a store. If you had given her a dedicated store device running on your own internal LAN, she might have had a chance.nnWhen I criticized your online inventory failures, she defended your store, saying you have 40,000 items to keep updated, so....nnShe didn't bother to remove the instore red clearance tags on the shelf. She promised to report and change the online inventory levels, but...they didn't change.nnHow many others have ALREADY wasted their time and money driving there to buy the same 2 products I was looking for? And you have 40,000 products with inaccurate inventory levels.nnI don't blame her, I blame YOU. She seemed defeated and helpless in the face of your store's systemic failures, and I'm sure she's been down this path many times with other annoyed customers. Her attitude was created by YOU, your bad systems and bad team culture. Your staff reflects YOUR values.nnEmpty apologies and fake promises solve nothing.nnMost American retailers go bankrupt in Canada because they think mediocre is good enough for us.nnYou've lost me as a customer, and probably countless others, but if you actually cared and acted on it, you might keep enough customers to survive. Good luck with that....
