HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - This afternoon, 8/9/17, I entered the store in Auburn, ME and went directly to the customer service desk to get information concerning an air conditioner. There was an employee behind the desk who greeted me with quite a friendly tone. Then he promptly walked away without another word, not even "I'll be right back" or "Someone will be with you momentarily" - NOTHING. There were a number of other employees standing around the service desk area chatting. Not one of them came over to ask if they could help. I double checked the sign overhead to make certain I was standing in the right place. The sign indeed said "Customer Service". I continued standing there trying to get some help but no one was paying attention. Was I invisible because I'm an older woman who has to use a walker to get around? But no I couldn't be invisible, that first employee spoke to me when I first walked up to the service desk - maybe I faded away or something. After waiting awhile longer, finally the original employee returned and asked what I wanted. I explained that I was looking for an air conditioner but that I couldn't walk very far. He gave me directions then promptly turned his attention to something else. He offered NO other assistance. There were no other customers waiting. All I had in front of me was my walker. Air conditioners can be bulky not to mention heavy but this employee had no interest in providing assistance to a customer who had an apparent disability. Now I'm not a frequent customer due to the disability that I'm plagued with maybe if I were there might have been more customer service offered. I am extremely disappointed that Lowe's employees have no forethought let alone compassion to help a customer with a very apparent disability. He didn't even offer which would have provided the opportunity for me to accept or reject his offer (I really could've used some help). He just did not care to provide even minimal customer service considering how long I had to initially wait. LOWE'S definitely came across as a business that is NOT DISABILITY FRIENDLY.

We have just went thru our first major appliance purchase experience which has now ended after 4 weeks . All we ended up with were deliveries of damaged items for 3 weeks in a row, we even placed a whole new order under a different brand name only to find out the the order was not placed due to some policy they have on return goods. So now for all the inconvenience that this caused us we are now faced to remain on their schedule as far as waiting for them to pick up the item that were good from our home to be returned to the store so that we can be invited back to the store as they put it to get a refund. So buyer beware !! So here we are 6 day's before Christmas and we have nothing to show for it .From now on I will pay top dollar from a high end appliance dealer before I ever cast a shadow in a Lowes store ever again.

After leaving another large similar because of no service I went to Lowe's and bought a stove and dishwasher plus all the parts I needed for them. Also bought materials for two closets being built as well. Lowe's created me when I came in the store and as I walked into the appliance dept I was greeted again and was asked if I wanted to browse a bit or did I need some help. 15 minutes later I had the paperwork in my hand and moved on to buy a few more things. $1500.00 later I left the store very pleased with my purchases, the staffing at Lowe's and with a couple more things crossed off my list. Thank you Lowe's.

Been a while since we were in Lowe's because of past customer experiences. This time wasn't bad. People were helpful and seemed interested in the customer. Nice change.

Employees went above and beyond helping me load a glass sliding door into my truck. Thank you very much, your customer service didnt go unnoticed!
