I had a horrible experience with this company. Over 3 months ago, I went in with my husband and picked out an Avalon wood stove. We scheduled an appointment for the owner to come out to check our fireplace. He comes out 3 weeks later to check it out. I didn't hear from him so I called 2 weeks later and he stated that he needed to punch some numbers and he would send me a quote. I never received one. I called a week later asking again for the quote, the lady that answered did not know who I was but took my information and stated that she will pass it along. I called again a week later and the owner answered and he stated that he was waiting on a chimney sweeper to look at the chimney for the liner. He also said that the chimney guy was booked and he was waiting for an opening and that he would send me the quote after. Never received the quote. I called 2 weeks later for an update on the chimney guy, the woman answered and again had no clue who I was. I explained the situation and she said that she would have him call me back. I never got a call back. A week later I called again, very annoyed. The woman answered and stated she had my note of my call last week but didn't give it to him. She also informed me that they don't have a guy or know of a guy that is a chimney sweeper and that it was my responsibility to find one and get back to them about it. So I told them that I would take my business else where. Mixed signals and horrible service.

Do not count on them for anything. We had an appointment set up to do some work and they bailed at the last minute and said "well, didn't really want the job anyways". Expect no customer service here....

Recently purchased a stove. I found the owner & his associate Donna to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Anxiously awaiting delivery! Thank you Gary & Donna

Their website says "We provide excellent and timely service for everything we sell." That is certainly not true. I bought a VC Resolute stove from Gary and it needed some repairs. "At least three weeks," he said in November when I asked when I could expect service. I expressed my concern about the extended tine as winter approaches and he rudely responded "You should have tended to this in the summer." Funny, I don't use the stove in the summer. Four weeks later I visited him again. "At least three weeks. We are busy with installs." Customers do not come first here - him making money comes first. Terrible service, false advertisement, and a rude owner. Never will I do business there again!
