Story

Since opening its doors 13 years ago, the Caprice Nightclub has been the focal point of Granville Street and a leader in the city's nightlife.

The Caprice is an elegant, spacious, state of the art, multi-level venue spanning over 10,000 square feet. The main level encompasses a long backlit main bar, a large open dance floor, an elevated DJ booth and an exclusive VIP area. The second level mezzanine provides an undisturbed view of the main level, with its own large bar and cozy seating areas; it’s perfect for lounging with your friends or just checking out what’s going on below.

At Caprice, our DJs always set the tone for a great night. On Wednesdays, we have Casa 967 where you’ll be dancing all night to Top 40, Latin, Dance, Brazilian Funk, and Regaetton. On the weekends we keep the crowd bumping with Top 40, Dance, and Club music. Our 30 state of the art intelligent lights take the night to another level, letting patrons enjoy the live sounds from the music while being entertained by the visual show.

The Caprice Nightclub has become a favorite spot for special events ranging from local charitable fundraisers to big international DJ sets. We have worked closely with Blueprint events to bring talent such as Fedde Le Grand, Chris Lake, and Roger Sanchez.

Me and my entire group pre-paid for tickets for NYE, but even though we had all our information one of our party wasn't allowed inside. In trying to figure out what was wrong, each bouncer/employee there was incredibly unhelpful, unprofessional, and rude. When trying to calmly talk to them about our situation, we each got screamed at. Even though we had paid for everything and we did nothing wrong, we were inexplicably kicked out of the venue, ruining our entire night and start to our year. Never coming back, will never recommend to anyone. Just an absolute waste of money.
Went there to dance and that's exactly what I did. If you are bored in Van just check this place out. It's not a huge venue but it's a good size. Its easy to meet people here because of that. On top of all that I lost my coat check number and I had to leave my awesome-ass coat there... I had a great time... what can I say. I thought staff wouldn't care but I was wrong! Haha I got it back a week later. Anyway... what more can you ask for... dancing, drinky-poos, hot peeps, great staff and professional manager Tyler. Anyway, enjoy your crazy night peeps! Went here on a Friday night and it was awesome! Line was about 15-20 mins long, but we got there late. Be there by 10pm or get on the guestlist to jump past the line Once inside, place was pretty jumping, one room had Hip-Hop and Top 40 music, the other room Main Dance room had House/Electronica. Service is great! Bartenders were very friendly and were quick! Restrooms are clean and not shady looking. Overall, this is the place to go to!
I usually have a lot of fun here, but I have never been more compelled to create a yelp account just to complain about the terrible service !!! Bouncers are racist and rude. We made a guest list but still had to wait in line because we were an ethinic group rather than a group of white girls. I bought a sprite, caused me 19 dollars. I gave the server a 20 for a 4 dollar sprite and he only returned a loonie. I waited for the change and he refused to attend me and completely ignored me... whatever. I had never experienced such poor service. But sure the music is good and the people are great...but the service is terrible!
I am from the U.S. and went for night to Caprice with a friend. Spent $300 for bottle service and a private booth and when there were people constantly over running our booth I wanted to tslk to our server. She never once checked on us. I went to a bartender to ask her and she said our waitress was busy but really she was standing right behind her drooling all over some group of guys. Like are you kidding me? When I pressed the issue, they kicked me out only an hour after I got there. Will never go again and be prepared for terrible service no matter how much you spend.
Was a little nervous about going after reading some of the reviews, but my friends and I had a great time! The bouncers were fine and even let one of my friends in for free since it was his birthday. The drinks were expensive but that was to be expected from a club. Great location, great music, and would totally go back next time I'm in BC!
Depends what your looking for. This is a club that has great DJs and really good danceable music. It's packed and it's kinda sleezy and most people are drunk lol but the drinks can be pricey for the atmosphere your getting. 7.25 for a vodka lime juice on NYE when we paid huge cover to get in 60 bucks. Mmmmm me thinks not. It's not a five star club or a luxury club. I personally did not find the bartenders service very friendly....like they are good as long as you are tipping them, but without a tip expect crappy service. Which I think is kind of backwards. The bouncers I got to give it to them, they were really awesome. The door men and the security at the doors were great and treated me with respect and acknowledged me. They really were firm where needed and controlled the environment when it was getting crazy. They made me feel a lot safer. Thanks guys. I was here for NYE and was expecting a masquerade....no one coming here dressed up...maybe 5% so that was lame. Maybe next time it should be mandatory if they are advertising a masquerade. I get it though...they don't want to lose profit or walkers by. If you like to party hard and don't care much about the club setting decor the environment the people who go there the service or cost of drinks and just want good music then come dance the night away.
Alright, this club straight up sucks. I came in the other night and I should have thought something was up when everyone was leaving in droves but I still decided to stick to it because lets face it, I was thursty. I get into this sweaty closet they call a club and the first thing I see is a group of guys preying on some poor little white girl. Correction that's the only thing I saw, since even though the clubs the size of my bathroom it was still that empty. I don't even know if you could call the DJ a "DJ" because I'm pretty sure the guy set up his iPod shuffle to the mixer and brought out a cardboard cut out of himself and wen't to some other club to have fun. You want to have a fun time on a Friday? Hang outside any other club and it'll be a better time than Caprice.
My friends and I were on the guest list. On their website it says that if you are there before 11:30p.m that the entry is free with RSVP. We were in line since 11p.m and got to the end of the line at 11:36p.m and they told us we would have to pay $20 each. I have been to Caprice a few times before and the bouncers and employees are extremely rude. I have been to other nightclubs on Grandville St. from the guest list line for free, even after the cut off time if there was a long line.
Empty dancefloor. 1 hr wait to get to make it look like its happening. Guest list does not matter. 20ish $ cover; 8.50$ Kokanee. Creeps everywhere. Lots of people have gotten beaten up by the bouncers or others.
