Story

The Lord Essex, has a long and storied history, it was opened 94 years ago by the Kahler family when they built the hotel. It was in the early days the bar for the Elizabethan Room, the hotel's Grand Ballroom. Through the years it has become the premier dining facility, and serves as the flagship restaurant for the Kahler Group of Hotels.

The Culinary team is currently lead by Executive Chef Tommie Tran and Duc Le.

Through the Lord Essex’s menu, which changes constantly, the restaurant commits itself to serving USDA Prime cuts with the finest quality ingredients.

The place was very nice. Or server christine was nice and polite. The food was tasty. A little spendy, BUT I am able to get my husband away from the xbox for 2 hours out of 365 days a year so it was worth it. We made it our valentine's night.
Very good and very old school steak place. Nice and quiet though. Very helpful and friendly servers. It was hard to find since it is inside of a hotel office building. Definitely worth a visit to compare to the other local places. Very good food.

B-day/Anniversary dinner, not a peak evening or time. Just under 3 hrs. very relaxing, the staff allowed us to languish over every course6. Very accommodating. Great dinner, prepared to perfection. Last time here was in 2005. Same, maybe even better experience. Thank you Kim!
A true classic right out of Mad Men in a town that’s scrapping its historic past. Great food and top-quality service: the bartender remembered our names even though we hadn’t been here in over a year. There’s few places like this left and it’s perfect.
