I went to London Gate Pub for the first time yesterday. Overall it was good but the service was slow and I had to constantly call the servers over and over again. In the end I had to even go up and ask for my bill. The food was good but the service not so much. Fish tacos were great, the burger and the french fries were also good. I even tried the Nachos and it was interesting that they put it on a pita bread. It held up and they were very tasty. I would of given them a 5 star, however, the service just wasn’t there.
We stumbled upon this spot that is tucked away in a commercial plaza, and it’s def NACHO average Pub! We got the London Lamb Burger and Nachos. London Lamb Burger was BOMB, you could really taste the Lamb flavour, it was char-grilled to a perfect Medium-rare, it also had a wonderful Dill taste to it, topped with Brie Cheese, Lettuce, Onions, Tomato, Pickles, on a Sesame Bun, I devoured this within minutes! Nachos came with LOTS of Olives, Tomatoes and Jalapeno, topped with Cheese, though it was good for sharing, it was just a standard plate of Nachos for the price! Overall, great vibes, good service, will totally come back!
Cajun Chicken Wings: Service was brilliant, the wings were not so bad. I still enjoyed it but the flavour didn’t hit the meat. Would still visit but I have had better and cheaper.
This place is great! Had an event there and the room where they hold events is spectacular and cozy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is great and excellently priced.
Came to this restaurant with a group of colleagues for dinner after work. We all agreed that London Gate is a hidden gem in the Etobicoke area. We enjoyed a great selection of German beer and pub fare. The steak sandwich was perfectly cooked and the fish tacos were scrumptious. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. We highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!
I normally don't take the time to write a bad review, but I felt compelled. I arrived hoping to enjoy a good burger and a pint with my family - the burgers were burned. No one checked in with us to see how the food was, so we ate most of the burger anyway. When we asked for the bill, the waiter asked, "how was it?" and we said the burgers were burned. He explained that they needed to overcook them for food inspection regulations. Then he brought us the wrong bill, which my husband paid without double checking. Then, after my husband walked outside, they came after me to say they gave us the wrong bill and wanted me to pay an extra $30. I was so unimpressed that they had terrible food, terrible service and did nothing to try to improve the situation. I will never go back to this restaurant.
This is by far one of the best restaurants for small intimate groups and large private events. We have many functions at this restaurant. The food is one of a kind and service is on point. Keep up the good work. Mike & John
I took three old work buddies to Lions Gate for lunch at 1pm today Dec 5th. Service was great Food was excellent. Two of us had fish and chips. Delicious. I'm British/Canadian and know my f&c.
This restaurant is amazing. I love the authentic food and the fast/friendly service. The staff are amazing. I have taken many clients to this restaurant for lunch and dinner and they love it. I strongly recommend this place if your looking for great food or a quick drink after work. 5 stars from me :
A really cool place to hangout for a drink and chat. Liked the ambience, the vibe & the food complimented the place too. Had a small game area too and enjoyed playing a pool game. All in all a cool place to enjoy
