Awesome store! I was shocked at the variety of products they have! They're a drug store so they have a pharmacy but they also sell food, housewares, appliances, television, computer accessories, and much more! I don't know what the staff are like because I didn't really interact with anyone but this store seriously has a lot of stuff!
The pharmacy staff were exceptional. However, I bought an office chair there that fell apart in a couple of weeks. I called to see what the returnnlandscape was like. I was met with quite a rude young lady on the phone saying all sales were final. So, I kept the chair and now shop elsewhere.
Customer service is poor; it doesn't acknowledge customers while they are waiting and tells them to go to a different till while waiting in line. This happened two days in a row! The tech team was helpful; however, the person working customer service was not helpful or friendly.
I went to London Drugs to validate my winning lottery tickets. The customer service worker seemed to be in an apathetic or “bored” mood as she barely said two words to me while beginning to scan my tickets. Twice she was interrupted from scanning my tickets to answer the phone. Finally she finished scanning and told me that my total was over 200$ but that she can only pay me out 200$ in cash and that I would need to purchase more lottery tickets or merchandise from the store. When I asked her why she didn’t inform me of this policy prior to validating my tickets her response was “It’s not my obligation to inform you of that policy.” Had I known that I would be forced to spend 80$ in merchandise at their store, I would have withheld some of my tickets to validate at another time or different store, because of course once a ticket is validated it can’t be returned or validated elsewhere. The customer service worker AND the manager maintained the same “couldn’t care less” attitude and refused to take accountability for informing their customers of this store policy. AGLC requires retailers to pay out prize amounts up to 200$ but it is the retailers choice if they want to pay out more, up to 1000$. This is a London Drugs policy but both staff members claimed it was “out of their hands” and not their “obligation to do anything about it.” Great sales tactic for sure. Way to keep money in your retail locations
TL;DR Tech support refused preauthorized service, gaslit me, and damaged my Airpod ear tip.nnI'm appreciative that everyone has bad days, so normally I'd never leave a negative review - however my experience with the tech desk was so bad and they wasted so much of my time that I felt this warranted it.nnApple Support booked me an appointment at this store to pick up a replacement set of Airpod Pros they authorized, as they're an Authorized Service Provider for Apple and said it'd be faster then shipping me a replacement. I had AppleCare+ on them, so I was able to get a replacement for any issues under my policy.nnWhen I told the person at the tech desk I was there for a replacement, he laughed and said that's not how it worked. He took down all my information again, even though the Apple representative had already taken it down for the replacement authorization, and took my Airpod Pros for testing.nnAfter waiting 2.5 hours for what they'd said would be a 1h test, they said the tests came back normal and there was nothing they would do.nnWhen I insisted that the noise cancelling and bass response still was not working properly they wouldn't try them to verify the problem. They told me all that could be done was to send them to Apple for 12 business days for inspection, despite my Apple Care+ policy granting me an express replacement and the agent having already preauthorized a replacement.nnI took them back and called Apple again to tell them what happened. The Apple agent checked the case file, said that shouldn't have happened, and sent me a replacement with next-day express shipping. Sure enough the replacement fixed the noise cancelling and audio issues that the London Drugs tech denied.nnWhen I went to put the silicone tips back on the tech had taken them off for the tests, I noticed that the base of the left tip was torn and almost entirely detached from where it connects to the Airpod. That tear was not there when I cleaned them before bringing them in.
