The city will not take any responsibility for horrible roads. Hit a horrible pot hole on sunningdale road. It ruined a brand new Michelin winter tire. Had to get towed and after searching tons of tire shops I was lucky enough to find another one in stock for $500 dollars. I submitted it to the city with pictures of the ruined tire, new tire, receipt and went back to the pothole to take pictures of that. They replied telling me that because road crews inspect all roads every other day, they won’t cover the cost of the tire. I don’t care how often they inspect the roads. Clearly it was a horrible pot hole that was not fixed. On top of that, for some reason in my large neighbourhood, every road gets plowed except mine. It’s not a dead end or any reason to not be plowed. We pay equal property taxes as everyone else in this area. Yet for some reason we get skipped every single time. I think our road was plowed about 3 times this past winter. Cars constantly getting stuck. I have made multiple reports online where they tell you to report it. Ive also called in to let them know what’s going on. They told me they put it on priority list and will be done asap. It wasn’t done for weeks. On top of that the homeless drug addicts are becoming out of control downtown and nothing is being done about it. I can’t believe the once amazing city I used to brag about has turned into this. These politicians in London have ruined this once great city.
City Crews came, inspected, and then removed a 16’ foot, Tree Branch that had become suspended by the Guide Wire after a mammoth Gust of Wind tore it from the 50’ tree out on Grand Ave.nThe Crew was incredible as they carefully removed the huge branch.nWhen people Dis the City Politician’s…nREMEMBER THE HARD WORKING CREWS Out there cleaning up and Keeping the City Functioning, Thank You City Employees, Thank You ‼
Sarnia resident and frequent visitor here.nTraffic Dept, get your shit together!!n1 Major intersections have ZERO supplementary signage to let you know ahead of time. Uncertainty leads to aggressive responses from hostile locals.n2 PLEASE upload summer construction information to google - that's what google is for. I've been stuck in too many situations with no advance warning - again, ZERO SIGNAGE.np.s., congratulations planning department in transforming your city into another Brampton.
Went downtown Saturday morning to support some local shops, paid for parking thought I had paid for an hour came back to a nice $75 parking ticket. The lot was empty, and I was only a few minutes past the 15 that I had purchased. First off, if you want to promote local downtown businesses how about offering free weekend parking like other nearby cities. Second, $75 parking fine! Kinda steep don’t you think? Not to mention the additional $3 service fee to pay online.nOverall I feel it’s very petty, and I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
Sunfest should be neutral and politics-free. City Hall failed to ensure that. An artist performing with a Palestinian flag and keffiyeh is not cool. Were there even any rules for artists?
