LOGE at The Sands

Made a reservation on line for a discount rate. When we got there after driving 3 hours they told me they would not honor the online price! I had a receipt and a confirmation! I guess you know I told him a thing or two. My advice... Don't bother! It's not that cool. Other places give discounts as well. I recommend the Westport inn. Closer to the water anyway!

Is a great place to stay. Prices good and places to eat around it. Went on a charter fishing lingcod that weekend. Was a great stay. People were nice. We would stay there again. Recomend staying there again.

Pros: 1. Facility is immaculate! I was amazed at the cleanliness, and overall habitility of the establishment. 2. Cafe/bar/entertainment- two large fire pits, a stage, bar/cafe (decent coffee for the price). They have bands or movies on Friday and Saturday evenings. Cons- 1. Bathrooms are one stall with an open shower (no individual shower stall). 2. Unless you like being awoken at 3am by drunk mid-20's kids yelling "Dilly Dilly" and "I'm getting drunnnnk", you probably don't want to stay here. 3. RV spots are so close to each other, that unless you are VERY skilled at backing up, you probably shouldn't. Our truck and trailer were hit by the drunk kid next to us, while he was trying to back his trailer in for the evening. Overall, I would not recommend this place unless you're a stereotypical PBR drinking "hipster" who has no qualms being a hot mess. My reservation was for 3 days..I lasted a day n half before I had to just leave.

I inquired about handicapped accessiblilty. There aren't any accommodations for people like myself in a wheelchair. When I asked why they don’t have handicapped accessibility, they told me “we don’t have to because our building is old and grandfathered in.” In other words this “community” that they claim to be apart of excludes handicapped people. So you can be apart of their “community” as long as your able bodied but if you’re handicapped you’re not welcome at all. Their community has an exclusion clause for handing people. Totally infuriating...

Really nice rooms! Quaint with a surf theme. Clean and tidy with cute, retro touches. Thoughtful extras like firewood and s'mores fixings.
