If you’re looking for EXCELLENT seafood in a beautiful environment, this is the place for you.nThe service was at just the right pace; not so slow that you feel forgotten and not so fast that you feel you’re being pushed out. Friendly people, great food, amazing drinks. What more can you ask for?nDo yourself a favour and ask for Dave. You won’t regret it!!!
We went today for lunch and the food was great. There is also a beautiful view of the harbor from inside and on the patio. I had a 1lb lobster with coleslaw and potato salad. The lobster was fresh and cooked well. The salads were also really good. We also had crab cakes, fish and chips, and a lobster roll. All were very good. The server was attentive and fast as well. There is also a little gift shop at the front.
Lobster on the Wharf is a MUST-VISIT culinary destination in Charlottetown, PEI. From the moment we stepped onto the wharf, the enchanting ambiance and breathtaking waterfront views set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.nOur server, Raj, was an absolute gem. His warm hospitality, attentiveness, and expert recommendations made us feel truly pampered. We started with the calamari, which was elevated to new heights by the chef's own seafood sauce. It was a symphony of flavors and textures, the perfect prelude to our main course.nThe bacon-wrapped scallops fettuccine Alfredo was a masterpiece. The scallops were perfectly seared, tender, and succulent, while the creamy Alfredo sauce was rich and decadent, without being overly heavy.nBut the star of the show was undoubtedly the Lobster Poutine. This PEI classic was taken to a whole new level with generous chunks of fresh Atlantic lobster, perfectly crispy Cavendish fries, and a delectable chef-created sauce that melded harmoniously with the melted cheese curds. It was a true feast for the senses, a culinary adventure that showcased the very best of Prince Edward Island's bounty.nWhether you're a local or a visitor, Lobster on the Wharf is an absolute must-try. The combination of exceptional service, mouthwatering cuisine, and stunning waterfront views make it a dining experience that will linger in your memory long after the last bite.
Places close early in Charlotte Town so must have dinner early despite our late lunch by the bridge. We are set on having a whole lobster for dinner while in PEI so it was between the Wharf or the Prince. We ended up decide on the Wharf due to its location we like to see the water while dining.nnThis is my first lobster ever so I really don’t know what to expect. No allergic reaction here so that’s a good sign no room for potatoes so I opt for double coleslaw and a cup of seafood chowder to continue my journey. Obviously overestimated my appetite and can’t finish the double coleslaw. The chowder is alright but due to strong competitors, it didn’t make my top three this trip.nnAfter seeing what the next table of five ordered, we regretted ordering a 1 lb each… should have went for a 3+ to share so we can get better pictures! Yeah… phone eats first when you are a local guide!nnAll in all, very happy to check off this to-do item on my bucket list - the whole lobster is a must do when you are in town! nnTIP: lobsters are better priced here in Charolette Town than in Halifax as per my travel companion - who had a whole lobster in both cities.
We were the first customers of the 2024 season. Truly the best seafood we’d ever had! Served to perfection! The waiter/manager Dave I think was very friendly, gracious and personable. The food was utterly perfect. The fish was tender and fluffy in my fish and chips and melted in my mouth. The lobster dishes were beautifully presented as well. So glad we had this exceptional culinary experience.
