Terre Rouge

Amazing food at a fair price for Charlottetown. Way better than the tourist traps in the area. Decor is cozy and tasteful. I ordered the duck breast, of which the fat was rendered beautifully-as though it were bacon, nearly. There was a barley risotto as the bed, with pecans and granola to add texture. The jelly topping was succulent and not overly sweet; almost stole the duck's thunder. Served with heirloom tomatoes and carrots which were far tastier than their grocery store counterparts. Great beer selection and friendly service make this stop an almost-perfect score. However, it's Charlottetown, so expect to be price-gouged as with anywhere else on the island. For that, it's reduced a star, but among the choices in the area, this is probably the best value you'll get.

Good restaurant. They have really fresh oysters at reasonable price. Service is good too. Sitting on the patio is very nice in the summer.

Visiting from Ontario on our honeymoon. One of the best meals I've had. The chowder was amazing and the smoked eggplant curry was to die for. Service was excellent from start to finish!

Walked in on a Sunday night at 9:02 PM. We checked online and it said they were open until 10pm. We wanted to have a quick drink and a charcuterie plate. Ample time for that. Waited at the hostess stand for 5 minutes as waitresses walked by glaring and ignoring us. Finally after being walked by about 10 times someone came over at 9:07 and said hi, we asked if they had room for 2 (saw about 8 tables empty) and the women responded with "we actually had our last seating at 9pm, sorry".. we responded with "is it not 9 currently" and she processed to tell us that it was 9:07 so we were too late.. We left with a very sour taste in our mouths and we're much happier to spend our money elsewhere. The hours posted should reflect the ACTUAL time you take customers as we were highly disappointed. Won't be returning.

Food was amazing (seriously delicious). And Emily was knowledgeable and accommodating ... had the buttermilk sandwich w/o bread and it's was the best salad I've ever had. The Mr had the crab cakes which were equally good.
