Story

The City of Lloydminster’s Facebook page addresses matters related to Lloydminster, City Administration and the activities of Mayor and Council. The page is monitored and updated by the communications staff with the City of Lloydminster.

As a member of Facebook, the City adheres to its policies. We welcome your participation in our discussions and look forward to an active exchange of ideas. We very much encourage you to comment, share and like our content, however, we expect conversations to follow the conventions of polite discourse.

Therefore, we will remove comments that:
• Contain abusive, obscene, indecent of offensive language
• Includes defamatory, abusive, harassing or hateful remarks, or makes any unproven or unsupported accusations against individuals or organizations
• Constitutes spam or the promotion of products or services
• The invasion of anyone’s privacy or the impersonation of anyone
• Are not remaining on the topic being posted and discussed
• Are posted without the necessary rights, licenses and consents
• Encourage conduct that may, or would, constitute a criminal offence or give rise to civic liability or otherwise violate any local, provincial, national or international law or regulation
• Contain long embedded URL’s
• Contain excessive links or code
• Are contrary to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms
• Are meant to engage the moderator(s) in an argument

Any and all comment removals will be carried out at the discretion of the moderator. Users found to be in repeated contravention of the moderation policy will be permanently blocked.
