I don't write many reviews, but I felt like I should warn anybody planning on going through this company NOT TO. My client hired them to help us transport vehicles into Canada to them. Livingston's idea of great customer services and advice was call Transport Canada. Every time I talked to Transport Canada or a manufacturer for information, I was told my broker should have that information or take care of that form. When I told them the brokers sent me to do work that out I was told over and over again to get a new broker, because that is the broker's job. After getting the run around for a week, I finally got frustrated enough and demanded to talk to anybody that would help me so we didn't run into any problems at the boarder. I was told to fax over certain documents in advance to the port we would enter Canada at and they would prepare all the customs forms so our transporters could get through without waiting, but when the transportes arrived 3 days later, of course, they hadn't completed any of the forms. When asked about that they said it was because I hadn't specified what port the transporters would be coming through on the fax, which (a) I wasn't specifically told to do and (b) didn't think it would be necessary since I had sent it directly to the office in the port we would be traveling through. Not to mention I gave them my number to call if they had any questions or need anything else. As they hadn't done any paper work our transporters were stuck at the boarder for 12 hours, of which they were told they would be arrested if they left the office without paperwork. When they finally got through customs they lost the RIV 1 forms, ie Livingston gave us problems from the start to the finish of our boarder experience. If you are need of a customs broker, for your own sanity, go somewhere else.
