Poncho’s is thriving under new ownership and management. The new menu is delicious and has something to offer for all appetites. Even when busy, the service and food are fantastic. A wonderful place for locals and visitors alike to drink and dine!
Poncho's is a welcoming tavern that now serves some of the best Lake Superior fish in Wisconsin. Since I live six hours away, I only get to visit once or twice a year. It is a great place for drinks, friendly conversation, and surprisingly good bar food, but their fish dinners, made with fresh fish from the local dock, is as good as anything you can get in the South Shore of Lake Superior.
Solid local bar and restaurant that serves the local community well along with the visitors that come year round and especially in the summer. The menu has something for most folks. The owners have been intentional about that. Gluten free buns and pizza crust available. The menu gives no GF guidance and sometimes the chef and or recipe is not available to answer questions about ingredients.
I usually don’t leave reviews like this but honestly the service we had was unacceptable… food was cold , server was lost. Drinks were empty. Nothing was comped off tab after complains made. Spend your money elsewhere. Place is washed up
Terrible experience. The burger was dry and flavorless, the cheese curds were soggy and greasy, and the whole place felt dirty. Staff had zero interest in being helpful or polite. Won’t be back.
