We've been coming here for years. It was great again this year. The ice cream is always awesome, but the soft serve flavors are hit and miss. They were cool about replacing the soft serve that didn't taste very good root beer. We were okay with paying, but they did it for free. It wasn't awful, it just didn't taste like root beer at all.
Massive number of flavors, both hand dipped and soft serve. Within walking distance though a bit of a trek, car or bike preferable of state park but far enough so it's not crazy busy. Good amount of outdoor seating.
So many ice cream flavors to choose from its impossible for them not to have your favorite flavor. Lots parking behind the building too. Very yummy ice cream. We got a banana split, Boston cooler, a vanilla malt and turtle sundae style ice cream. It was all great!!!
We biked around Higgins Lake and found this ice cream only shop. Serving took a short time, however the wait was worth it. We ordered one single split between two flavors in a waffle cone and bowl. The servings were huge, so order single if your hungry and I'm not sure who can eat the large. They have almost 40 flavors and it's well worth the stop.

This is the best Ice-Cream Parlor in Higgins Lake. We grew up going to Nibbles and the Customer Service, Flavors of Ice Cream and everything in between out weighs them every time! Hands down, the BEST place IN TOWN!
This is our favorite ice cream shop. The service is always great and their selection is the best, especially because of their huge soft serve flavor selection. They have hard ice cream flavors that you can't find elsewhere as well. The prices are reasonable and you can eat inside or outside.
Excellent service, excellent ice cream, owner works at the counter himself and remembers people by name. Ashby’s ice cream and soft serve are both perfect and served in hearty servings. Very reasonably priced and always served with a genuine smile. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
The ice cream there is FANTASTIC. You get lots of ice cream for what you pay for. It’s the best ice cream place in town. My family and I love it. The service is great. There is an ice cream flavor for everyone and the ice cream cookies are to die for. I HIGHLY recommend this ice cream place.
