Always a treat! They are even better this year than they were last year. Wait times haven't been long, and service has been great. Their pizza and bread sticks always feel like a hidden treasure. The burger is decent. The fried food is good. Prices are reasonable.
If you want a simple, home-style burger for a good price, this is your place. I't's hard to find a 1/2 pound hamburger for $6 anywhere anymore. We had that and fries. Both were good. There's a very clean outdoor eating area on the side of the restaurant that doubles as a nice place to wait for your order. The person who took our order needed some customer service skills. We heard these issues being addressed when we were waiting for our food. Best to take care of things like this before customers are there, but I was glad to see the situation addressed instead of let go. In the long run, best for everyone. A note to fellow travelers, no fault of the restaurant, but cell service is spotty in the area. Our plan was to call ahead for pizza, but without cell service we ended up just going there and ordering something that didn't take quite as long.
I have seen this place for years but never stopped there. We got there at closing and the lady told us they were closing for the night but they would still help us. We order the 7 Icecreams we needed and the bill was less than $10! The portion sizes we real big too. We will definitely be stopping back there next season.
Food and employees were horrible. Asked for 3 plain small cheese 9" pizzas and a 1/2 lb burger nothing on it.pretty simple right Well burger was burnt. Bun was wet and falling apart. Pizzas werent cooked fully but somehow burnt. Not to mention it took 45mins to prepare it. When I asked to have the matter and replace. I was told they weren't gonna do it. Then refused to refund my money after I asked and slammed window closed in my face. Will never return and strongly suggest no one either goes there.
I ordered a mushroom swiss burger and a bacon double cheese burger but apparently they can only do one burger patty at a time lol so no double only single burger. It took 25 minutes only to find out that they were frozen premade burgers with zero flavor. I was looking forward to eating here until this happened. I put two stars because there cherry cokes were pretty good.
Went to this pizza on or socially distanced getaway to Lake Higgins after a day on the lake we stopped to get take out pizza, after ordering our food we noticed a posted letter basically opposing the mask mandate and saying that if customers did not wear masks they would assume they had a health ailment and were welcome there. This lead us to look closer at the employees and we saw that the cook and another employee we were preparing our food were not wearing masks. We will return to Lake Higgins in the future but will not be return customers to Andy’s Pizza Shop.
Around 5:30PM Monday July 9th 2018 We ordered 2 pepperoni pizzas, very simple easy, they were "quick" but when we got the pizzas one was burnt, no one wanted to even eat it, as it was gag wrenching. The pizza that wasn't burnt was pretty good! The reason for the 2 stars, they were incredibly rude. I asked how long to takes to cook their fries, instead of a simple answer, whcih was 10 minutes, she had to explain that they have to cook them fresh and they don't leave any ready to be sold, I get that, I only asled for a time, but she had to be a know it all, well sorry lady, I know more. We cook fries at our restaurant in 3 minutes, i cook mine at home in 8. This wasn't the first time they were rude either, we called and they said it would take 15 minutes, which a lot of pizza joints will cook in that amount of time. We get there after 15 minutes, and they yell at us saying "we said 50 minutes, not 15" so we canceled our order before they even started and they shut the window in our face. Would not recommend.
Employees need to learn how to make ice cream dishes like sundaes and banana splits ...toppings don't go on top of whip cream .second when making a banana split and you ask for Carmel to replace strawberries and I and I ended up with a Carmel boat . all the employees forget how to make a banana split ....and when I asked for one to be made correctly the owner or manager just wanted to add chocolate topping to it so I asked for a refund ... Now I know why the other ice cream placed were packed and this one had hardly anyone there ......good luck to anyone wanting to try this place ...I will not be back ......oh and the employee even admitted he srewed it up ....
I love, love, love Andys!!! I order chicken strips almost every day!!! Every summer I bring my grandkids from Ohio up here and we hit Andy's and Nibbles everyday after being out on Higgins Lake all day on the boat. Service is fast, fresh and very friendly!!! So I never have to cook and me and the grandkids are always happy...it's a win win situation not to mention price and quality is uncomparable
Ordered two pizzas and they were given to another person by the same name. That was bad enough but the oner wanted to argue. Very very bad experience and will never order pizza there again. I had a 5 and 9 year old and they were eating dinner at10:45. Sad very sad !!!!
