Exquisite. A carefully curated collection of mouthwatering morsels. From the pepper grains to the steak, everything here has been thoughtfully considered and selected to create amazing food that defies it's simplicity. Excellent value, perfect portions, food you will crave even after you're full - definitely my pick for best breakfast spot. We ate everything listed on the right side of the menu, and each item was absolutely delicious. Take a few friends and share everything family style - you'll appreciate the amazing coffee, and the kids will appreciate the house crafted soda. Highly recommended!
The interior was bright and clean, with many natural wood accents. The decor hints at the history of this area despite being a new business. The food was tasty and well prepared with a Clean and simple presentation. Enjoyed the food and the experience. The menu has light options as well as more hearty fare. The menu notes that they do not allow substitutions and the menu didn't make special notations about possible allergens so folks who cannot tolerate eggs, dairy and gluten need to read more carefully. the motto for Little Brother is: "Bread + Butter + Eggs". I recommend their excellent coffee and their "Mushrooms and Toast". Overall a positive experience, the staff were attentive and enjoyable. And made it right when one of the dishes was not to our liking. Immediately after paying while sipping my water and finishing off this this review we were asked to leave because others were waiting for a table. I can't remember ever being asked to leave another restaurant. of course we left within the minute and I finished typing this elsewhere because we are not jerks who intentionally occupy tables while others are waiting. This really reduced our experience from a 5 star to a 4 star experience.
Little Brother has best kale I've eaten thus far - it had a wonderfully nutty and earthy taste to it, paired with the bright acid from the fresh apple slices. Their steak and eggs had a flavourful sauce that I couldn't get enough of! Our waitress was friendly, and the restaurant had a very neighbourly feel to it. Always nice to try local gems.
Located in the heart of historical downtown Abbotsford, Little Brother is the perfect place to grab a bite and catch up with friends. The menu here is limited, but of great quality and prepared from local farm fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm. The service here was beyond my expectations for a new restaurant. The kitchen does close at 3:30pmnso I would reccomend coming on the earlier side of brunch. Overall little Brother is a perfect addition to downtown Abbotsford and a perfect place to make memories.
I decided to try a new brunch spot that opened in Abbotsford this week. While they are still navigating their opening week, they did not disappoint on a quality food experience in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. I had the Bacon & Eggs which is served on brioche with an apple cider hollandaise sauce, a latte and a blackberry madeleine sadly no èclairs were available yet as I was there early. My coffee poured just as beautifully as my breakfast was prepared which is usually a weak point at many other brunch spots but an obvious strength for this experienced team who also own Oldhand Coffee nearby. I can’t wait to come back to try more menu items and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for an elevated brunch experience without the hassle of driving into Vancouver.
Food was tasty. Prices were a bit high for what was offered. Coffee comes in very small cups, but they come around often for free refills. Service was really good, server took the time to explain several menu items. Would definately come again. Nice atmosphere.
I’ve been hauling my cookies from Surrey and Vancouver for years to go to Oldhand. Yes, it’s a bit of a trek, but one I’ve never regretted making. Ever since Little Brother was announced, I’ve been excited to try it; today was finally the day, and I was not disappointed. The folks behind Oldhand have already proven their coffee chops, and it still shines here. They also feature a tight and thoughtful food menu, sourcing their ingredients from the valley almost exclusively. Today we ordered the bread and butter and added the pickled things, jam, and cheese. It was nice to try all the options, but the star of the show was decidedly the house made butter and bread. I also love their take on pickles, which included green strawberries fun fact: they taste like umeboshi, corn, and green beans. We also had the mushroom toast — which is both rich and earthy— and the croque madame. Both were well executed, and show off their incredible bread. We also had the kale and potatoes as sides. The potatoes were herbaceous and perfectly seasoned, and the kale with sourdough crumbs turned out to be my favourite dish. The service is friendly and efficient, and the space is bright and warm. I will keep making my way to Abbotsford to enjoy the lovely work of this incredible husband and wife team.
Can brunch, especially with sparkling wine, get any better? I think not! A perfect addition to the Abbotsford restaurant scene, Little Brother does food right. The Croque Madame was absolutely decadently delicious. Great food presentation, a beautiful laid back atmosphere and excellent service as well. Looking forward to going back to try more items on the menu!
Food was decent however the portions are on the small side. We stopped by Duft & Co to fill up on the way out lol. Limited menu, no eggs benny. My dish which is pictured had too much bread. Service was overall good. Aside from the girl who greeted us somewhat abruptly Love the fact that they source their food locally!
Breakfast at LB this morning was simply devine. It started with the wonderful airy, open nature of Little Brother. The warm wood and copper combined with carefully curated decorations, and a classic mosaic tile floor really add up to a truly inviting atmosphere. Then there's the coffee from Monogram, which was absolutely on point. The sausage and grits was a most welcome combination, and the dijon mustard was such a nice addition. Can't wait to come back and try all the other tasties on the menu. Oh, and PS... Sit at the bar. You get a great view of the whole place and all the windows! Great job Spencer, Christina, Johannes and the whole team!!!
