Wow! Every single dish that I got to try here was simply amazing. The food was fresh, delicious and expertly made. I could feel the heart and soul put into each dish.nI had the corn bread, calamari must-try!, jambalaya linguine, bayou brisket, hush puppies, creole jambalaya, garlic mash potatoes and pecan pie!nThe restaurant itself was newly renovated and had a modern, cozy atmosphere with lots of seating.nI will definitely be coming here again

The menu is a delightful homage to the spicy and rich flavors of Cajun cooking, offering a variety of dishes that cater to both the adventurous foodie and those seeking the comfort of home-cooked meals. The jerk wings and breaded wings are a must-try, with just the right amount of heat to tantalize your taste buds without overwhelming them. The jerk chicken po’ boy is a standout, packed with flavor and served with a side of authenticity.

If you haven’t been here, I feel sorry for you. We started off with the Mac - beautifully seasoned and just the right amount of creaminess. All dishes were perfectly portioned and superbly generous. You know when you go camping and you smell the bbq charcoal heating up? That’s what the brisket tastes like…it brought back some amazing memories for me and the grits and vegetables were cooked to perfection. My partner got the jerk po boy…….My god. Divine. It didn’t even stop there. The poutine is just insane. I have no idea what they put in that gravy, by far the best poutine I’ve ever had in my life. Finished off with bourbon bread pudding for dessert, super delicious and amazingly done by the chefs in the back.nnAmazing staff. Judith I believe her name was, what a gem! And the chefs in the back gave an amazing execution on everything. Hats off to the owners and staff members. We love that you’re part of Scarborough and can’t wait to flaunt you around!nnThank you!!

If you've ever wanted to visit New Orleans in America for its melting pot of French, Spanish and Acadian inspired cuisine, the Upper Beaches Bourbon House in Scarborough is a much shorter drive for people in the West end, like me to taste authentic Louisiana cooking. We ordered the Cracker Catfish, which was cooked and seasoned well in a thinly breaded coating for the flaky white fish. The catfish was a generously-sized portion and it came with cheesy grits a mix between a porridge and mash potatoes consistency but typically made of corn which were delicious and there was a side of healthy vegetables. The seafood linguine was exceptional! The pasta dish was loaded with shrimp, andouille sausage and had a creamy sauce which was very flavourful and had a pleasant heat kick to it. The presentation of the seafood linguine was certainly insta-worthy too. We also ordered a poutine with blackened chicken extra charge. The fries were crispy initially but there was quite a bit of gravy but delicious so the fries in the middle of the dish were a bit softer after a while of being drenched. That being said, the poutine was still very tasty. The cheese curds were fresh and squeaky and the star of the dish was the blackened chicken that we thankfully added. From what we were told by our pleasant server restaurant owner's brother, everything is made in house, which includes an incredible hot sauce that starts off sweet but carries extra heat on the back end with a nice burn. We were so full from this delicious meal but would definitely come back for the Po boy sandwiches and the desserts. Overall, the ambience in the restaurant is very relaxed with cool jazz playing in the background. The restaurant is in the same plaza as the Pizza Nova. If you're looking to try something new in the area, this is not your ordinary restaurant. You will be blown away with the delicious food and be going back for more like we hope to do.

Coming from the west end, I haven't really experienced much Cajun food cuisine in the area. We stumbled upon this after a visit to the bluffs. We were absolutely delighted with both the food and service. Our server/host was an amazingly kind and polite woman. She would chat with us every now and then and helped us decide on what would suit us best. Overall a wonderful experience.nnAs for the food, we were surprised with how much quality food could come out of such a small location. Another instance of not judging a spot by its outside look. We ordered the mac & cheese, cornbread, blackened salmon, cracker catfish, jambalaya linguine and jerk chicken po'boy. All were absolutely amazing and left us both full and satisfied. Not to mention their home hot sauce is a perfect blend of spice and sweet that I had to order some to take home.nnI would recommend this to anyone in the area for both a wonderful meal and some great service.
