Have done the play cafe here, enjoyed the coffee, and left my little one at drop in daycare with them. All their services and staff are amazing. The space is beautiful and thought through and the little ones love it! The downstairs play area has lots of skill levels and is directly adjacent to tables so you can stand inside and easily talk with fellow friends at a table. The little ones are super engaged in the space and mine developed more confidence on this type of playground equipment compared to the outdoor versions. Great for rainy days!!! The food and coffee is really, really good, like easily just as good as the other coffee shops in the area with pretty comparable prices. Maybe a tad expensive for the food, but for the convenience and the genuinely adult and healthy options I'm more than willing to spend an extra few bucks. The online interface for the daycare booking takes a little time to learn, but if you're having trouble like I was, just give them a call! They walked me through it no problem and even helped me make a same day booking, which the online system doesn't allow for right now, but Alina sp? helped change my booking right after I made it so we could come in same day. I felt so comfortable leaving my little one with Alina in the upstairs daycare space. She introduced herself and we chatted for a bit and she got to know my little one before I left so it wasn't too abrupt. She obviously had fun arts and crafts ready to go and my little girl 2y3m was super happy to stay with her and play- no fuss at all when I left! I can't recommend trying this place out strongly enough!! Kid-friendliness: This place was made for Moms and Dads and Babes and friends!!!
A down to earth, no fuss and minimalistic homey vibes awesome coffee joint and kids paradise. This is a great place to bring your kids to let off some steam at great value and catch up on some much needed espresso and yum goodies whilst they go ham. The toys cater a great age range and include some home DIY-based sustainable fun ideas. This place is great, one of a kind and I respect the business for being great and doing what it does. The staff are phenomenal, super friendly and approachable. Really efficient and on it with continuous cleaning and providing a dope experience. This joint is hands down a five star no questions asked and ignore any claims of poor visits. Support local businesses!
I'm so happy that there is such a play cafe FINALLY! I couldn't believe there was no alternative in the Tri-Cities before. Just look how busy it got several weeks after opening. The playground is well thought through, kids like it a lot, and parents can enjoy their coffee while their little ones play. The entire place is designed great from the choice of colours to the kids-friendly washrooms a small detail, but how many kids' places lack this!. The team is very friendly, the vibe is awesome. The prices are steep, yes. I guess that there is no way to keep this level of quality otherwise. I particularly appreciate that the cafe has already improved based on customer feedback. From our first visit in December to the birthday party in January, they have already added new features, and it looks like they are not going to stop. Overall, my experience with Little Beans Play Cafe was very positive. The only remark from my side would be about the food. Maybe I was not lucky? But for the price I paid, I expected more, to be honest. It was okay but looked better than tasted. I tried soup and salad. Was tasting like canned tomato soup, to be honest. Salat was just a heap of arugula seasoned with an unreasonable amount of balsamic vinegar or something like that. The apple pie waffle was actually served with fresh apples. Yes, it is stated on the menu, but who reads it all, right? The entire topping combination was strange to my taste. The waffle itself didn't impress me either. I hope that the Little Beans Play Cafe team can meet this challenge as well. Otherwise, it's a great solution for rainy days which are so abundant in our area. Or a couple of hours of work or meeting with friends! Kid-friendliness: Dedicated playground, kids-friendly washroom
Definitely not a quick ‘grab & go’ place! But definitely recommend for a slow Sunday morning and you want to spend some time with your kids since they have a little playarea for children! The vibe is a definite 8.5/10 and food is 7.5/10! Staff is 10/10
Love this place! Went for the first time yesterday and my 3 kids had an amazing time! Play area was absolutely spotless, food was awesome and very fresh. Staff kept apologizing profusely for the wait on food and drinks it was very, very busy! but considering how busy they were I thought everything came out extremely quickly! We will definitely be back and telling others about this place! We have been to several other play cafes with similar price of admission, etc but this one blows them out of the water. So impressed! Kid-friendliness: Amazing place for kids. Place place was great for all ages of young kids, plenty of high chairs, bathrooms were accessible and easy to use for kids, food menu was very well thought out for different ages of kids. Play area was spotless. Can’t say enough good things!
A great place to throw a birthday party for kids. There is an indoor playground there, a private party room for rent upstairs, and you and/or your guests can order food and beverages from the café. We had a terrific birthday party for our son there. We will definitely come again!
Overall this place is nice, clean and the staff is nice. My only complain would be the fruit salad they sell. For the 6 dollars they charge I don’t think it’s worth it. It came with frozen blueberries, cut up apple and like 3 slices of banana. I know berries aren’t in season right now but maybe choosing a different fruit instead of frozen stuff. I just don’t think it was worth the money. I would give this place 5 stars had i not bought that. I got the chicken panini and that was good, strawberry waffles were decent also.
Dropped off my 3 year old for drop-in daycare for a few hours to try it out and I am so glad to have found this type of option and service nearby! My kid loved every second of her time here and the vibes were so calm and loving. I actually found it to be a great price per hour at $13.95 and they took all the kids down to play in the play area too! The upstairs is so clean with stations set-up for all sorts of types of play and activities. I appreciated that they were thorough with the pick-up so I know no one could just walk in and take my child. Will definitely be making use of the drop-in daycare again! :
Last minute we decided to visit this spot on a torrential downpour Saturday morning. I was very excited to see such a gorgeous & spacious space to play. Pros: - Beautiful, clean & spacious - Friendly employees - Reasonable price for kids to play for 2 hours - Chicken panini delicious but SO overpriced. I’ll explain below Cons: - Some parents think they can just go & leave their kids in the play area, not supervising at all. One kid was constantly destroying my children’s quiet space under the structure. I was looking around to see who looked like the destructive, rude kid. My kids kept saying STOP & he was repeatedly bothering my kids. - Food is incredibly overpriced. Kids grilled cheese was $10 see photo Absolutely astounded & appalled. Don’t order it! - Chicken panini was delicious but the salad was so sad. Just a mountain of arugula with balsamic salad. C’mon. That’s pitiful. Not only is it extremely bitter on its own but it just looks terribly sad. Definitely not worth $19. - There’s not even a water station with complimentary water or a water fountain - Great play gym but that’s about it. No additional toys or things for smaller children & infants to enjoy. Or your kid will get stomped by a parent or kid. All-in-all: We’ll never go back It’s not worth it at all. Better yet, take your kid to the IKEA Smaland & save your money. Unless you’re a millionaire
This place is flawless. The owner has put their heart and soul into setting it up, and it's really paid off. Every detail is thought out. The cafe is extremely clean, and the food selection is excellent. The play area is equally clean and very fun for kids. I travelled quite a distance to go there and I was extremely impressed. Will be back, lots.
