Lions Campground, located in the heart of Red Deer, combines the beauty of a park with the convenience of the city. The Red Deer River provides a striking backdrop to the campground, and campers are welcome to enjoy the expansive trail system that winds its way along the scenic waterway. Lions Campground is just minutes from the wealth of stores, cultural opportunities, and golf courses in Red Deer, so urban opportunities abound for people travelling through the region.
General Information
The campground is open from 1 May to 30 September. Campground amenities include 138 - 30 amp full and semi-serviced sites including 12 new 50 amp deluxe RV sites. Conveniently local in the park are washrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Recreation opportunities include playgrounds, direct access to the Trans-Canada Trail and the Red Deer River. There is an amphitheatre for interpretive programs offered by Kerry Wood Nature Centre. Firewood and tokens are available from the campground office.
