It's a 5 star pub on MacLeod trail it's MacLeod Trail aka HWY 2A, so it's a chain~ it's not a UK country pub. The service was excellent and the food was too. I've been going to this pub for about 20 years on and off. We just ate there today and all I can say is wow! I had the poke bowl and I was incredibly impressed. I used to come here for the boar burger a very long time ago, but this poke bowl was definitely a refreshing update!
Came here for lunch with a group of coworkers. We were one of the few occupied tables, and the server seemed irritated by our presence during every interaction. I ordered the steak and arugula salad, which was mediocre. The steak was a challenge to cut at times, even with the provided steak knife. Overall, it was a lackluster experience.
Pros: Great place to watch sports, lots of TV's and a good atmosphere. They also have a nice selection of local craft and imported beer. Cons: Nothing inspiring or nutritious on the food menu if you are a vegetarian. It's a veg pizza or plain nachos and that's it although the waitress did suggest that I can order anything from the menu and just ask to have the meat removed but 'fish & chips', 'cottage pie', 'St. Louis ribs' or 'butter chicken' without the meat is just basically a plate of fries... no thanks. Parking: Parking lot out back
Went to Limericks for wing night. The wings and their sauces were great as was the salad with nice fresh made dressing. Sadly the fish and chips were not nice. Soggy batter with little to no fish. We didn't even eat it.Food: 3/5
Some of the best pub food I’ve had in Calgary! Id consider it a hidden gem because I’ve never heard of the place before stumbling across it last night. The half order of nachos is a full order anywhere else, the dry ribs were also freakishly large and tasty and the butter chicken was better than most I’ve had at Indian restaurants in the city. The server was super attentive and friendly. Great experience, we will definitely be back!
One of my favourite pubs in Calgary, always busy. Very nice vibe, good food and nice patios.
First time there. Sat in upstairs lounge. Service was great. Ambience good. Steak sandwich was delicious.Food: 5/5
Everything about this place was amazing! The ambience, host, reasonable price, food quality thank you chef!, deal on drinks, and the vibe. Loved it!
Changing my review because I just visited a couple weeks ago for the first time in about 5 years. This time, service was wonderful and the server was friendly and welcoming. I had the steak sandwich and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My companion had the ribs and said the same. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. My only issue is the lack of options with regards to non-alcoholic beers. They had no ginger beer, which would have been my absolute first choice because I don't like most non-alcoholic beers. They were also out of Bud Prohibition. I was given the option of Bud Zero or Heineken. Nobody really drinks heineken, do they? I mean nobody who really enjoys the taste of things, right? The Bud Zero was literally the worst excuse for a beer alcoholic or non- that I've ever tasted, even worse than Heineken. I'm fairly certain the server cracked the can in front of me, and that's the only reason I didn't accuse her of having served me water into an almost empty beer can. Super gross. Please find better options. Dietary restrictions: Not much of a drink selection for alcoholics in recovery or people who just don't drink.
Waitress was definitely over worked. Didn't get one of our drinks until after food arrived. She was very nice when we did see her though. Always take our visitors to Limericks great food!Food: 5/5
