Wonderful experience from booking meeting to event day! Maria and her team made planning an event seamless. Maria worked with us and provided options and suggestions based on past experience and genuine caring of our needs which was clearly apparent. One of the Best Greek Food in the town. No matter whenever you go, they can never go wrong with their preparation and service. Sadly it opens for only summers/Autumn but we wait for it to open the next year. Great job and thanks for offering such a lovely place and amazing food.
Limani is a good restaurant in Winona that I would go to again. The souvlaki is fantastic both chicken and pork. The Gyro is decent but seems to be the same pre-made mixture you can get anywhere. It’s no way near as good or authentic as IOS on Upper James. The extremely small pita pieces are laughable - might was well not include them. The Greek salad is great. The service is very good but they do need more staff. We were seated well before others but served much later. Some feedback. The Tirokafteri we had may have been enough salt for a human to digest for 4 days. It was horrific. The upgrades on the sides are insanely overpriced. Greek fries upgrade is close to $6.00 and it’s just more salty feta, oil and some pre-made dressing. Stay way. At $6.00 you can also upgrade to a Caesar salad. Considering the cost and I understand inflation this is insane. None of the side upgrades are really “upgrades”. They should just be substitutes except for the meats. A slight charge perhaps but not like this. It’s gauging customers. The grilled calamari dinner is an acquired taste. Additionally their tips start at a base of 18% instead of 15%. You have to hit custom if anything. We usually tip well but come on get real. This is not a rocket science, fine dining establishment. If you want locals to go than consider your prices. You can see by my history I visit expensive places but this is just a rip off for what you get. Additionally they have two google restaurants listed under Limani. Both point to the same site and phone number. Also same address. They need to fix this. Think of it this way. If they were more fair again fair not cheap we’d go here once a month. Instead it’s perhaps twice a year. I’d rather travel to IOS for example or even Sotiris in Burlington for a better deal. Those two restaurants are actually above this one but far better value. Sotiris is actually more expensive but again better value.
We've dined at Limani at Fifty several times and recently hosted a private party for 30 guests. The food, service and communication were top notch. Maria and team went above and beyond to make sure we had a spectacular event and we cannot thank and praise the team enough! The portions were generous and the food was delicious! Without a doubt, Limani at Fifty offers the best Mediterranean cuisine in the GTHA, with an unbeatable marina- front location and absolutely wonderful staff! Don't hesitate to book your next event at Limani!
I just had my daughter’s christening lunch at Limani’s and it was absolutely amazing. I had reserved the entire restaurant for 50 people which is rare to do at restaurants but they do it here, no problem. The food was so delicious, all of my guests were raving how amazing their meal was chicken souvlaki dinner. I had booked the restaurant a month prior to the event and Maria was amazing to work with. The entire staff there were so friendly and attentive to our needs. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, and I can’t wait to have another event/lunch/dinner at Limani’s. It’s definitely a hidden little gem and I’m so grateful to have found it!
If there were to be a restaurant at the marina, there would be none more fitting than Limani! Although it was busy and they seemed short on staff, they worked very hard to deliver exceptional service. We had lunch on a Saturday and the server really made us feel like valued customers. They have a good selection of drinks and beers that are perfect for a hot summer day. All the food was delicious and I would recommend the grilled calamari for a perfectly seasoned, moist, and incredibly tender squid. Pizzas were in big portions and the salads were very authentic and quick to finish. I look forward to my next visit here when we visit the boat again!
We arrived for our 7:30 reservations and were seated promptly by the hostess. The waiter, Stefan , arrived shortly after with our menus and water for the table. We decided to order sooner than later as we were told by the hostess that it would be a 45 min - 1 hour wait for our food to arrive. After receiving our drinks we were surprised to see that our food had arrived much sooner than anticipated , the lamb I had was cooked medium and delicious and all the sides as well. The platters were all a good portion size. Our waiter was polite, courteous and patient with all six of us in our party. Beautiful view of Fifty Point Marina too ! Next time I will have to try the pizza. I would recommend LIMANI for anyone looking for good food and reasonable prices with a wonderful view.
This place is a wow factor. From friendly owner who helped us with our budget and to an amazing private function. Food was spectacular and the service was professional and amazing. The whole venue including food, services and seating was all perfect. They definitely hit it out of the park and went above and beyond. They worked with us because hosting a one year old twins birthday can be a handful but they were really understanding and patient. Thank you so much who made it all happen!
We had a group of 60 people for my Father's Celebration of Life. They were so easy to deal with . The food was perfect, large portions, dessert was awesome. It was the hottest day of the year, and all the staff were incredible. Their selection of wine, drinks and beer was perfect. The tables were setup in a long line. The tables had the cutlery and water glasses on the table. They were very prepared. I cannot say enough about their food. It is full of flavor and really a great deal. The seating options for smaller groups is very flexible. You can be in sun, shade, or inside. The value for what they offered and what we expected, was exceptional Value. I would have all my events here!
The ambiance is amazing especially if you get a view of the marina. It is nice being on the second level. I am certain any seat allows you to enjoy an open air experience. The food was fast, fresh, hot and delicious. The beverages were perfectly chilled. The staff were friendly and ensured we were enjoying our meal. Pay for parking as you enter and the cost will be taken directly off of your bill. Reservations should be considered as the season warms up.
