A family owned bakery located at 348 S Main St. Lombard IL, 60148. Across the street from Mr. Z's supermarket and next door to Allstate and the dance studio.

Products consist of:

Doughnuts, Sweet Rolls, Coffee Cakes, Butter Cookies, Sugar Cookies, Bread (White or Butter-crust, Wheat, Plain Rye, Seeded Rye, as well as some others may be requested such as Hoska), Loaves (Cranberry, Lemon Poppy Seed, Blueberry, Banana-nut, and others such as pound cake). Assortments of many pastries as well. Feel free to contact us in regards to purchasing a product not listed above or to inquire more details.

We have been going to Lilac Bakery for about five years. Every year, I purchase a blueberry and peach pie for my boss’ birthday and it’s always amazing and a big hit. I have also ordered several cakes from here and they have turned our amazing. The possibilities are endless! The customer service is amazing: they are very response and nice I disagree with the other reviews. Their pricing is right now par and very reasonable. We have moved a few towns over and this is still the only bakery we will use.
3 out of 5 because the cake was expensive and was only supposed to feed 5 people. I wanted a customized cake, they told me to send an email of what I wanted, I did, 2 days before the day I was supposed to pick up the cake my instincts told me to contact them and ask how it's going, they told me that they didn't know the order was made...even though they told me to send it through an email and I even showed it to them as I sent it. Those who ate it said it was good, but the cake did fall apart when being sliced. The customized photo was perfect though.
Just okay I get treats, bread and game day cookies up here a few time a year but I won’t anymore. The one time I needed my sons cake done mission failed. Had a company cancel on me because of health issues. Contacted them for emergency help 4 days prior. I was told to send an email with image and information. I called back to confirm it was received because I didn’t get a call back that day. I was told yes it’s all good we got every and the girl asked what time Saturday I can pick it up. Came in on Saturday 3hrs prior to party and my order was ready or found. I was furious but jewel came through for us. Fixed an already made cake for us and redid the top for my son. Even gave me a discount and charged me the price of a half sheet for a full sheet because of my stress and troubles
I'll give them 3.5/5 stars for their pastries, and a 2/5 stars for the helpfulness of the staff. Their pastries are a good notch above average. I wouldn't drive multiple towns over to get them, but they're a solid Saturday morning treat. The staff however, is not helpful at all. They've been very rude to us every time. We went to pick up our paczki order one year, and waited in line 45 min. Got inside and was scoffed at and told "you should have gone to some other table to pick up your online order". No signs anywhere. No one came out to tell everyone waiting in line. Bottom line: decent pastries, just make sure you know what you want so you don't have to interact with the staff.
I use to give 5 stars by not the same owners and pastries not as good. My favorite use to be the apple strudel but the crust is no longer flaky. The staff is excellent and deserves 5 stars.
Loved their donuts and sweet rolls. Baked goods that are freshly made. Definitely put in your order for Pzacki Day!

I have been going here for over 20 years. Love this bakery. I recently ordered a custom wedding cake for a friends wedding and it turned out better than I imagined. The groom loves Game of Thrones but the bride didnt want a gaudy cake. They did a great job incorporating both styles.
Ordered a birthday cake from here jn June. Very disappointed. We love sweets but this was bad. Unfortunately, this was our last time purchasing anything from this bakery.
Excellent pastries. Picked up a dozen donuts and danishes. Every one of them was excellent.
