Google Review needs to provide a "zero stars" rating option since this is precisely what Chris Vardy deserves. My experience with Chris Vardy stems from the recent sale of my house in downtown St. John’s. He was the realtor that represented the buyers of my home. He almost lost our house key after the first visit (My wife and I arrived home well after the showing. When we entered our home he knocked and proclaimed that he can’t find the key. Fortunately, he was able to find it and put it back in the lock box). On the second visit, he showed up way too early (a little less than an hour before the showing). He was visibly upset and annoyed that we were still there and accused us for not respecting the showing time and used condescending remarks in an attempt to kick us out of OUR HOUSE!! He also left the front door wide open as he ambulated through our home as if it was his, despite the fact that we left clear instructions not to do so since we have indoor cats. A little later, our realtor sent him the original email thread demonstrating that the showing was at 3:30 PM and he begrudgingly apologized for showing up too early. Finally, he took steps to block the sale of our house on the closing date for a measly 200 dollars. Why? Because he wanted a massive piece of steel, which does not even come close to fitting through the entrance to the crawl space, pulled out of the crawl space! So basically, he used this as a mechanism to con my wife and me out of 200 dollars. Fortunately, we had a great realtor to deal with this guy – and Chris Vardy was not above insulting him as well. Overall, Chris does not respect boundaries or the wishes of the sellers or the realtor representing the sellers, no matter how above and beyond the sellers and their realtor may go to ensure the sale and transition is smooth. If he can reduce the sale price by a penny he will use anything and everything to block a sale, even on the closing date. Basically, he will go out of his way to make your life a living hell just so he can have the satisfaction of saving a penny. He is disorganized and unprofessional and lacks the necessary acumen for realty.
