As a life-long language learner, I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’ve been stopping by to browse whenever in Montreal since ca. 2010. No matter what language I’ve been working on, they’ve always had what I was looking for. Also: beyond study materials, they have a great selection of bilingual books.

I love this library! Unfortunately, as I don't live in Montreal, I can't visit it often; however, every time I do get the opportunity, I can never seem to get enough of how amazing the whole place is. The staff is EXTREMELY sweet, the whole shop is organized, and the selection of books is incredible. Honestly, I can't wait to go back in a few weeks or so. For an avid language learner like myself, this place is an absolute paradise. Please go if you ever get the chance to do so.

This place is just wonderful if you're a serious fan of languages and language learning. It's also a great place for language teachers too. They have a very wide variety of learning level graded novels and comics as well as proper instructional books and software covering the many, many languages. Friends have found some pretty obscure language texts here after thinking that there was no way the Librairie would carry them. The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. Great store all around!

Really good and complete library, especially for languages. Staff is also super friendly and they offer a great service. If you're looking to learn another language, this is the place to go.

Great selection of language and education books in multiple languages, and very helpful staff

Amazing place. There are a bunch of books in pretty much any language you can think of. Definitely a bigger selection than Chapters or most of the bookshops in Montreal area. Please pay them a visit. Their service is excellent. There is a pretty big section on Japanese books if you are interested. Some of them are pretty rare to find even online. I was surprised that they had it. As for Korean, the section is a bit smaller but they have good resources available for more beginner and intermediate. For Advanced, I think there was a book or two on it. Aside that, if you wish to order a book that they do not currently have, don't hesitate to ask them about it~ This is a wonderful independent language bookshop. I will return again after I get through some books that I bought from them :3

A great resource for all things related to languages! They have an impressive catalogue of books for all sorts of learners. The customer service is a step above. It's always a pleasure to speak with them.

Pity that they don't have a web store or a catalogue of the merchandise they have on site. I went there looking for a particular book, but they didn't have it. UPDATE based on response from owner: No, I think the service was three stars too. It's great that you replied to my comment with a link to where you supposedly maintain a catalogue, but it's useless if it's not present on your website. You should be making information easier for people to access, not more difficult.

Amazing language-oriented bookstore, staff very helpful and competent, wonderful resource and experience all in all. Your only place in North America to find language-learning resources in over 200 languages!
