Les Fromages de l'isle d'Orléans

Came here during a brief visit to the island. Lots of choices of cheese to choose from. Definitely good cheese and a historic place. However, the price is a bit high and there were lots of flies so it was not enjoyable at all eating at their open-air dining table!!! I came about 1 hour before closing, there were still lots of guests, but their ice cream bar has already closed (apparently they sell ice cheese but closes this part of the store early). The staff were friendly but forgetful. I was initially charged the wrong amount, then they did not give me what I ordered so I had to wait even longer for them to grill the cheese. I can tell it was very inefficiently run with one guy standing there grilling the cheese (which could be easily done with half a person looking after it), and the other guy doing everything else. Poor communication between the guy grilling the cheese and the guy at the cashier till. Overall first impression, not worth the drive to the island if that's all you're going for. I would not recommend dining there 'cause of the long wait and the flies!

Nice place for a quick stop while driving around the island. If you are a giraffe, the ceiling is too low for you but you may enjoy the cheese.

Great fromage samples and very reasonable prices. Could use some air conditioning though.
