We had a few friends who've visited the area and had recommended this restaurant to us. I'm a history buff so I liked the idea of visiting a place that boasts to be the oldest operating hotel in BC (since 1892). The seating on the patio looked absolutely beautiful with a view overlooking the lake. Unfortunately it was a bit cool the day we visited so we couldn't take advantage of it (not with kids anyway). We were told that this place is know for it's eggs benny, but our friends neglected to tell us it was on Sunday's only! Oh well. 

Food itself was good and hot when we got it. Prices were fair for what we got, with good sized portions. No complaints about he service. Would certainly consider coming back another time and trying their lunch or dinner menu.

Spaghetti and chicken soup were out of a can. Steak sandwich was tasteless. Fish and chips were good. Beware they let people smoke on the deck we had to move tables.
