This was a pleasant surprise for my wife and I. We weren't sure what to expect here, but after being seated, we were greeted by Ryan. We ordered some wine and cider flights, and he was so knowledgeable and informative about every single thing we ordered. It made us so much more excited to try each drink. Another note to add is that their patio area has an excellent atmosphere. With all of that said, we'll be back on day. Left Foot Charley, you rock.
Stopped here after a hike for drinks, Sarah was super helpful and friendly with recommendations. I can’t say anything about the wines because I chose ciders but it was all fantastic, loved the variety! Really nice outdoor seating as well, can’t beat sitting outside looking at the fall colors and enjoying some cider!
Fabulous little spot. If you’re in Traverse City for the weekend, definitely check this place out! Great selection of wines and ciders, staff is very nice. Perfect for a summer weekend activity!

My boyfriend and I decided to take a trip up to Traverse City in celebration of my birthday. We decided that we wanted to go wine tasting and came across Left Foot Charley. Upon arrival, they were very busy on the inside but we were still taken care of and served in a quick manner. Due to the inside being completely full, we made our way to their outside seating. There was plenty of room, lots of tables, twinkly lights and the atmosphere felt aesthetically and quietly pleasing. The person assisting us with our tasting was Max. His customer service was very professional and friendly. He seemed very knowledgeable about his job and the wine itself. There were a variety of different kinds of wines as well as many tasteful flavors. Our drinks were also provided to us in the order they thought we should try first to second to third and to last. Everything seemed to be reasonably priced as well. I think that it is safe to say that if we ever go back to Traverse City we would definitely come again!
The Cinnagirl cider is a standard. We got a reservation in the newly opened Barrel Room on a night that they had local musicians playing jazz; the room was very intimate with only a handful of tables and bar seating. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine and ciders they had available. We had the Antrim cider and a burrata and focaccia appetizer; both were absolutely delicious! It was a very intimate setting, and the jazz music complimented the room perfectly.
We absolutely love Left Foot Charley! Brian is hands down the best wine maker in the Midwest. The staff is amazing - Kristy is incredibly knowledgeable and always smiling. The entire place has great vibes and the Barrel Room is cozy and intimate. At LFC you’re treated like a best friend VIP. They know how to take care of people. If you want to feel welcome and taste excellent wines and ciders, this is your place. Cheers!
The wine selection was great and everything is so reasonably priced. Our server, Julia, was fantastic and made the experience amazing. She knew so much about the wines and her recommendations were perfect. We definitely would come back!
Don't try to go here if you're under the age of 40. My partner and I made a reservation for the barrel room while on vacation in Traverse City. We are younger, but appreciate a good wine tasting and wanted to go to a new winery we have already been to others in the area. Upon walking in, the host looked at us, and turned back to the customer she was helping. That was fine, it wasn't too busy, but she was already helping someone and we weren't anticipating immediate help. However, she allowed three other customers to walk in front of us and purchase bottles of wine from her. Another employee walked in as well, looked at us, and also did not offer assistance. We had arrived early for our reservation, but were standing there for seven minutes past our time slot before I just walked out with my partner. We were not given the time of day by any staff. We ended up going to Black Star, were immediately helped, and given a great wine tasting experience there for half the price and at a prettier venue. Definitely will not return unless I'm at least 50 because maybe then I'd be given good service.
