Leeside Restaurant

Very friendly waitress, quick service, food had a good portion and warm served warm and as expected. Coffee was free refill which was nice! Place had a nice atmosphere, quiet and peaceful. View on the harbor was characteristic too. Prices were very reasonable. We would go here again.

On August 5, my friends and my family had dinner here. The food was good. So we decided to have our lunch at this restaurant after we come from flower pot island on August 6. However, when we arrived the restaurant on August 6, they don't have a big table for 8 people and don't allow us to put 2 tables together. I worked at restaurant, whenever customers need, we will combine two or more tables together for customers. But here, the answer is No! What's more, my dog was left outside of the restaurant with a small shade place, the server came to me and said can you put your dog on the other side (which has no shade) I know it's hot for him, but he blocked our way. We all know how wide your way is, I don't agree with a dog can block your way. The last, we had two babies with us. The server said only one high chair available for you. Another one is being used. The fact is another one is out side of the restaurant and no one using it. So, I need to bring it back for my baby by myself. I understand this is a busy season for all the servers in your restaurant, but that is not the correct way to serve your customers. Otherwise, there is no tips for you guys. How can you do that in your "money season". I don't think you can make any tips during the winter time.

Very nice little restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the docks. Wait staff was very quick with the orders and very courteous. Only negative I would have to say is that the food menu is quite small, 4 entrees, 3 pastas and 4 specialty dishes. The appetizers are amazing thou, the calamari is a must get but be warned they do load up your plate so the price is perfect in comparison to the amount and quality of food you get. Stay away from the gravy thou, very jello like.

Breakfast was near perfect. As for the bacon, one slice out of eight was cooked but slightly under done. Fast service after the ferry had left, clean washrooms, friendly staff. Almost a five star.

I wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars, as I had a horrible experience today at Leeside Restaurant! The milk in the tiny containers for coffee was not refrigerated, which gave me a stomach ache later on in the day. We had the lady in the blue shirt serve us, who looked grumpy and never had a smile on her face; she acted like she was the owner of the restaurant. I didn't even ask for coffee, but the waitress came to our table with two coffee cups telling us we wanted two coffees. First of all, we didn't even ask for coffee, and second of all, how did she know we wanted TWO cups of coffee?? She slammed the coffee cups and all the plates down on our table which I find is very rude. When we asked for water, she gave us cheap plastic cups, while observing around, she gave everyone else glass cups, and I saw extra clean glass cups in their kitchen. (SO UNFAIR!) We ordered 4 sandwiches, 2 with white bread, and 2 with whole wheat bread. However, we were given 4 sandwiches with white bread, 2 of them were toasted until they were practically burnt to make them look like whole wheat bread!! My family and I will never come here again, and this restaurant has just lost 4 customers. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME HERE AS I HAD A DISGUSTING AND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Do not let this ruin your vacation.
