Another restaurant that we haven't been back to for about 8 years or so. Usually we come here for dim sum but they're usually busy. On this visit, we came early for dinner because we had a craving for Peking duck... And not that new Beijing style that you see everywhere lately where the duck is cut up into thick slices of meat... I'm talking about the classic style that I grew up with where the duck skin is super crispy and there's just a sliver of meat attached to it. I heard there was a duck shortage due to avian flu recently. Probably explains why their 2 course Peking duck jumped to about $100 used to be around $60-70. This was a good version and came with duck lettuce wrap. Also ordered pea tips on garlic sauce. Despite the visible garlic, it wasn't super garlicky. Really liked the crab claws we ordered. Nice crisp exterior gave way to a super tasty filling. Also kudos for the complimentary dessert. I feel like a lot of places are cutting back on this. The red bean dessert wasn't too sweet but it was nice and creamy.
This was my first time here. I liked how the large tables were spaced well apart. Also, sound didn’t echo everywhere and we could hear each other. The food was fair to good mostly good as was the service. Except for the few dishes at the end, the food was served in a timely way. The 7 courses we had for 14 people came to around $750 which is a bit pricey for the quality.
We had a reservation for Saturday and the place was packed. They had two big parties happening at the same time but these folks really came around to check that your tea and hot water was filled and also gave us free dessert due to how long it took to get our food about 50 mins. We ordered the Peking duck 2 courses, braised beef and the egg white fried rice. All were absolutely delicious and I would definitely go back or do take out for just the duck alone! Definitely coming back!
It’s our go-to place for the dim-sums in Burnaby area. It gets busy after 11am and you have to wait for seats in the line if you don’t have reservations but if you go there early in the morning there will be tons of seats available. Pricing is relatively reasonable and taste of food is decent. The restaurant is clean except washrooms need some updates.
If you're looking for some delicious dim sum, Lee Garden Seafood Restaurant is the place to go. They have a ton of different options, and the food is definitely more flavorful and tasty than what you'll find at the Coquitlam location. However, parking is very limited, and the staff can be a bit difficult to get attention from typical of Chinese restaurants. It can also get quite loud during rush hour. Overall, I would recommend coming here for the dim sum.
Solid spot in Middle-Gate/Edmunds area for Cantonese Dim Sum, or evening multi-course family dinner. Lots of classic and authentic Cantonese menu options. Fresh live seafood tank on premises! Good value, decent size portions, and clean restaurant. I judge cleanliness of Asian restaurants both in the dining area, and the washroom. Service here is on par with its peers…which is acceptable and mediocre. But I didn’t come here for atmosphere and service, people come here leaving happy because of the food!
The dim sum has been always fresh, scrumptious, and tasty! The wait time, even though it is crazy busy, is handled efficiently by the capable “Belinda” at the front. The staff is friendly and quick with filling up the tea and hot water pots. I have been here quite number of times now. Always that good!
This restaurant is a regular dining place for friends and this time we joined them. Our first time and first impressions are good. Fresh food, good service, nice size portions, tables were well spaced and atmosphere was authentic. We enjoyed our dine-in evening meal and would come here again, even with the forty minutes travel time, one way.
Food was very good and the service was too considering the norm for most Chinese restaurants, it was a quiet evening so fairly attentive. Excellent eggplant hotpot, pea tips and scrambled eggs with prawns. Pretty standard dishes but well executed and delivered hot to the table. I wasn't as enthused about the lamb hotpot mutton and tough or the beef bone from the specialty menu. Over priced and tough/stringy. Lobster sticky rice was ok. I'm not a huge lobster fan but the rice was good
Based on take-out, food was ready on time and was warm. Food was good, everything you would expect based on the dishes we picked. Prices have gone up, but it's to be expected. Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options Kid-friendliness: Yes, it's a family restaurant Parking: Small parking lot at the back Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, entrance is at street level
