Le Grand Hôtel

Heart of baie comeau, rooms are rustic, surprisingly spacious, but floors are a bit creaky... couldn't find an elevator, so had to take the stairs to the 3rd floor... not a big deal though.nnGood stay.

Staff spoke only french when checking in, so it was a little difficult. No elevator. Old historic hotel that has been somewhat renovated. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Parking was minimal, so we had to park on the street.

Rooms are fine, but a little quirky. Facilities in the room are good. Location is also very good.nHowever the service at reception was poor. Very disinterested and unhelpful receptionist. This put us off using the restaurant or engaging with the hotel services. A smile on arrival is easy and pretty basic and what everyone can provide.

No elevator, no hot water for a shower and when we informed them, they just shrugged . Didn’t give us a discount, or hot water! The decor throughout is old and dated. No ability to stream on the TV.

Poor service at reception, unfriendly and unhelpful; a smile would not hurt. Room in the basement was not finished: smelt like fresh paint and plaster, outlet not plugged yet, and air conditioning not working. Room was not clean also. St-Pancrace micro across the street is nice though.
