We've been here a few times now.. on the terrace a couple times, inside a couple times and ordered for pick up too, since we live across the street. The food is usually good, sometimes there's a lack of vegetables but otherwise no complaints. Customer service is usually good and the atmosphere is alright too. Only thing to say is the wait staff might give attitude occasionally but some people have bad days.. ‍ they still deserve to be tipped imo. We'll be back for sure anyways Dietary restrictions: They have a selection of vegan options!
Please don't go by the reviews!! This is definitely the BEST Vietnamese/Asian food ever. Walk in and trust your judgment. Dinner for 2 meals are an excellent bank for your bucks!!Recommended dishesLemongrass Soup, Sauce, Tempura
Had a great Tonkinoise soup here. Delicious. Great service. Would eat here all the time.Food: 5/5
I am very happy that this place is making an effort to offer vegan food. I ordered the vegan meal. It was a good portion and good price 45$. Peanut butter tofu was good, salad and spring rolls were decent. The veggie curry however was lacking flavour, it wasn’t bad, there was a ton of veggies, I just find the coconut milk curry could be elevated. Thanks for the vegan options!
Chef's special A was very good. Sizzling du chef was alright. Lots of meat in both which was appreciated. The chef' fried rice had surprisingly only small pieces of meat on it. The fried fruit trio was very basic, deep fried and served with syrup.
My partner and I shared the vegan menu and it was very disappointing. All five dishes included with the menu were terrible and did not resemble vietnamese food even slightly. Most disappointing were the curried vegetables lacked flavour and were covered in a mysterious pink sauce and the tofu tasted like it was tossed in plain peanut butter. I do not recommend eating here. There are far better vegan options in Montreal.
I've always enjoyed this place. The service has always been good and I've also liked the food. It's been consistent for more than 10 years.
Excellent taste of Mexican cuisine. Service is quite excellent. Portions are small, but very tasty. Cost fort 4 services/persons was high; $ 175.00
DRIEST pork grillade ever. I chose the 2 grillades special, pork and chicken. Chicken was moist, pork was so dry and over cooked, both where tasteless. I asked for sauces, she asked me witch ones...hoisin, sriracha, forgot to ask for soy sauce of sort. The imperial roll was nice. Service was cold and uninterested, except at the end when it was payment time. She did NOT provide me with a check, was on her way to add the tip herself on my card. When I asked for an invoice, she pulled out something out of the garbage...One last thing, I have no problem whatsoever providing my name, phone number and vax status, please at least provide a pen that does not leak all over. Sorry, not going back.
I was craving Vietnamese food and met up with my partner to seek out local options. We did look at reviews ahead of time and saw that they were mixed for this place, but, we didn't have any other options so with a bit of a good gut feeling, we decided to give it a try. And it was really great! The waiter we had was wonderful and attentive, especially when we inquired about MSG allergies. He was quick to outline our best options on the menu. We had the two table d'hôte options for 40$ deal and it was great. It wasn't overly sweet or salty. My partner and I avoid heavily sweetened or salted foods so this was perfect for us. Some reviewers that describe the food as "bland" perhaps have different palates. It's a family restaurant, and you can feel it in the care and preparation and taste of the food. Energetically, we were very nourished. Perhaps we had one fried banana too many, but that's on us. We recommend this place to others looking for a warming and delicious, subtle meal of well-balanced flavors. We'll be going again!
