I ordered 2 different cakes for my grandson’s Baptism and 1st Birthday party! The cakes exceeded my expectations! The designs for each cake came out exactly the way I wanted! The cakes were not only beautiful but fresh and delicious strawberry short cake with chocolate cake, vanilla cake and fresh cream. The young girl who took my order was patient, noted every detail and an absolute delight! Thank you Rolf for making our day even more perfect!
A complete slice of absolute heaven. This is the best dessert I've ever had. Light, airy and full of flavor. I cannot even begin to tell you how special this is. In the area, you need to have this, just try to limit yourself to only one slice
So consistently delicious! I love their cakes and decided to try a pastry as well. The raspberry and apricot meltaway is so good!! Never had anything like it, it's absolutely divine. I also purchased the Strawberry mousse cake. The mousse is light and tastes like strawberry ice cream!
Like to support local business but the strawberry cake was told to have two layers of yellow cake and a middle center of strawberry mousse. When you cut the cake the yellow cake is less than half an inch and 3 inches of mousse This is one way you can cut down your cost and keep the price of the cake around the same price but that is not what I expected when you order strawberry cake and it’s basically all mousse inside. Same as the chocolate flourless cake - expected a dense cake not full of chocolate mousse. Seems that is one way to cut the cost of ingredients but I rather pay for the proper way of the cake .
We ordered our wedding cake from Le Gateau Suisse and we could not be happier! Our guests finished their cake and some even asked for another slice - have you ever heard of that?! It was THAT delicious. Some cakes from other bakers may look good, but don't taste good - our cake was not only delicious, but absolutely beautiful and exactly what we had in mind. Highly recommend Le Gateau Suisse and Rolf!
You guys don’t ever disappoint when it comes to my kids cake! This year’s train theme cake was beautiful and delicious! My son was soo happy!! pix below Thank you!!! I just picked up my son’s birthday cake and you guys went above and beyond. He loved his construction cake. For some reason I cannot upload the photo but wanted to let you know how grateful we are. The raspberry mouse cake was delicious!!! The cake was the highlight of our party! Again thank you for all your work
I ordered a cake for my son's baptism and when i picked up the cake i was extremely disappointed with how it came out and was even more upset about how the baker treated my husband and I. Please check photos blue and yellow is our cake. When i complained that it looked absolutely nothing like what i ordered the baker said he would see what he could do - the cake still was not even remotely close to what i wanted. The baker was beyond rude - he told us it was $120 full price and to take it or leave it and to go to Shoprite next time if we weren't pleased with the cake. He also then told us not to allow anyone to eat too much gold because they would get sick!!! This was hours before my son's baptism so we obviously didn't have a choice but to pay the full price and take the cake. I will say the cake tasted delicious but when it came to appearance - it was embarrassing to have to display it! If the baker couldn't do what i asked i deserved a phone call...instead they put us in no position but to take a cake that we didn't want. To make someone pay $120 for a cake which wasn't even frosted properly and was lopsided is ridiculous and just outright wrong! I have had and seen cakes from this bakery before that were beautiful but ours was a disaster and makes me hesitant to trust this bakery with any custom cakes. I assigned a 2 star rating due to a rude baker girl at the counter was a sweetheart and for not trying to correct a wrong by at least offering a discount.
Delicious! The cappuccino, lemon, a d strawberry mousse cakes are fabulous. They're an absolute crowd pleaser. I've been coming here from more than 20 years and will continue to do so.
Highly recommend Le Gateau Suisse! Rolf made my wedding cake and it was beautiful and absolutely delicious! He is so passionate and was such a pleasure to work with.
Cake and baked goods are always delicious as usual one of the best in Rockland
