This was a nice little bakery, it smells so good but unfortunately the bread and croissants we got were dry, I am sure that they would taste better if they were fresh. We got some cakes as well and were not impressed. They were making new batches of pastry when I came the smell is what took me there
A very cute bakery in Canmore! The chocolate croissant is okay - I think it’s likely better heated up. And the La-pause café was fantastic. There’s no area to sit, so it’s definitely a grab-and-go spot! I appreciated the notes about containing nuts too.
Delicious! We ordered four croissants and 2 desserts. Our favourite is the white one, it was light and delicate. The filling was mango and it paired absolutely perfectly. The croissants reminded us of Paris. We will definitely be coming back again.
I wish I had more pictures of the delectable little treats we tried here! Made a couple stops here to grab some pastries and desserts as a fancy road trip snack before/between hikes. Everything was delicious, the almond croissant was decadent and the desserts were gorgeous!!
Large selection of beautiful, rich, & tasty treats. Treats are packed well to accommodate travel. Dessert flavours & textures pair nicely for decadence with each bite. Danoises are also particularly good with the hint creaminess in the filling. Highly recommend this patisserie for the European feel & quality 5/5.
I came from Edmonton for these treats and wasn't disappointed. Everything is delicately crafted and delicious. Slightly higher price than an average pastry, as it should be, these are above the rest.
A great beautiful place to stop by!!! Best croissants I have ever had! Every bakery calling out for me to buy when I walk-in store. I wish I could try every single one. Best Americano too! Staffs are very friendly. I need to stop by again before I leave Canmore!
Delicious coffee! I had a monkey bread and a danoise aux bleuets. Fantastic! And the landscape around is magnificent! It would have been even better if they had left the tables outside so we could enjoy the view.
Would return. Edit: Returned Flaky, crisp and buttery. Their pastries are high quality and comparable/better than Blackbird Toronto. The blueberry tart was very very good. Generous filling, creamy but fruity - wrapped around by buttery flaky pastry. I recommend you try this. Coffee/latte is good/par for expectations. Edit: Came back for more. Blueberry is hand's down one of the best in the country including shops from QC/ON. I will definitely miss this the most. Raspberry not quite there. Pistachio + Cherry cake is solid.
Outstanding! One of the best, if not the best bakery shop I have encountered in Canada. I have a chocolate dessert, croissant and a pan su chocolat. The dessert could be easily be served in a fine restaurant. Croissant and pan au chocolat were simply delicious. I also have trouble find a place where to have a good espresso - I am Italian and yes, I am picky - and this bakery nailed the espresso. Good coffee blend and good barista. Highly recommended if you are in Canmore, or if you pass Canmore, you should definitely stop and check it out
