My daughter and myself stopped in for a lovey brunch today. They roast a blend of three different varieties of coffee beans which made for a delicious latte, no sugar needed. The Quiche Loraine was fluffy with a flaky crust and the soupe du jour and grilled cheese was equally delicious with some unique flavors. My daughter also enjoyed her mimosa. For $43. Pre tax and tip I would say it was responsibly price and delicious. I would definitely recommend the food, service and atmosphere was great.
Hands down that best French Bistro in the city. Located in Marda Loop, at the ‘The Shops on Thirty Four’. The whole thing is amazing. Coffee, quiche, flatbreads, and the pastries are to die for. Honestly the whole atmosphere is incredible. Grab a glass of wine and take the whole vibe in.
Such a cute and cozy place. Love the patio with a real wood burning fireplace. Great menu even gluten free options. Good wine selection. Vegetarian options: Had selection of salads, veggie burger and Mediterranean cornbread cake Parking: Street parking Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options
I will start off by saying I was very underwhelmed. The actual cafe looks wise, is beautiful. Very cutesy, love the outdoor sitting, overall fun location for the summer. However, when it comes down to the food I was pretty disappointed. The lattes were good, comparable to most lattes you’ll find in the city. The food though, was lacking. Starting off with the “gourmet” grilled cheese, it was overly crunchy sourdough ? bread with barely any cheese, and dried parsley thrown on top with micro greens. That was it. Not sure throwing a handful of weeds on a grilled cheese makes it gourmet, but hey, i’m no chef. The babka was good, not $6 good though. Another important note, would be that there were bugs flying around and onto the food. Because the doors to the cafe are open, bugs naturally come in, but the un covered food then had bugs landing on it. This is severely unappetizing and honestly just gross. The service was unfortunately poor, took 5 minutes for the lattes to get to our table standard but another 20 to bring out our food which were already in the display case, just needed to be warmed up. So if you’re coming here, ask for everything to go and they will give it to you right away. It was nice to try once, but I can assure you I will not be going back.
Staff is super friendly. Atmosphere is amazing. Everything I have tried is absolutely fantastic. I'm a picky person and Francois has changed my mind on a lot of food I would have never tried. Highly recommend this perfect little place!
This place is home away from home. Feels like authentic French cafe. Great tea, delicious desserts and amazing atmosphere with music. Can not wait for warm patio days so our dog can join as well: I only wish there was more space for indoor seating for our long cold winters.
Good cappuccinos. Pain au chocolat had tasty chocolate, but only one strip instead of two. The cinnamon roll was a bit dry. Friendly service and nice terrace. Great place to sit out on a sunny afternoon.
Mon Dieu, the quiche is amazing. I ordered the smoked Gouda and spinach and likely could have eaten about 10 slices. The best quiche I have found in the city by far. I also ordered a latte and it was perfect sipping temperature and so smooth and enjoyable.
Cute atmosphere - fireplace and blankets, perfect for the cooler autumn weather. Creme Brûlée was delicious! Staff were kind and brought food/drinks to your table.
The most amazing quiche I’ve eaten. A little piece of Paris right in Marda Loop. Staff are friendly and helpful. Heaters and a beautiful fireplace on balcony. Breakfast in Canada at 5c
