This store is wonderful. The books are organized well enough that you can find what you're looking for within 5 minutes, the books themselves are almost all in excellent condition, the prices are more than reasonable (divergent series for less than half retail value but in perfect condition,) the variety is insane, and the service is excellent. I could not recommend this place enough.

Overall this is a pleasant book store with a good selection. I've been there many times  before and quite enjoyed it. 
Today was different. Today I was with all my
 children (4) and decided to go for a walk and it was on our way. I had been in there the day before looking for a specific book which they didn't have when another caught my eye. Unfortunately  I had no time to look through it so I decided to return to look at it today. It was extremely hot outside today so everybody was a bit off. My 2 year decided to do what 2 year Olds do best which is be obnoxious. He was loud and was running around. He was picking up books but for the most part he was more about being loud. My 10 year old son and 5 year old daughter were behaved. In fact my daughter was in the little kid/ Girl section and grabbed two Asian style anime books and was sitting on a chair the whole time near me. I was getting exasperated with the 2year old and ultimately decided to leave and come back to purchase 4 books  later on this evening.  That's when my daughter asked me with a giggle what was this in her book.... ummm it was a guy giving a girl oral sex, images on the next page of the girl giving the boy oral sex and then actual sex.... I WAS MORTIFIED!!! I just wanted out of There! My phone rang while trying to manuver the stroller with a baby strapped in a carrier on my chest so in answering it I  ( in hindsight) think the stroller knocked a small pile of books over that were in the aisle on the floor. As I explained to my friend on the phone what had just happen she said I should notify the shopkeeper. I looked up and saw the lady shopkeeper/ owner? huffing and puffing and slamming books around while she angrily rearranged the books I'd mistakenly knocked over.  Fair enough. She was upset. I explained to her what had happened with the  porn anime.  She angrily and rudely cut me off. Told me it was up to me to supervise my children and further more that it was a bookstore and bookstores do not sensor thier selections. I pointed out that the books look like little sailor moon girly books and they are all in a box on the floor directly in front of little kid books; they ARE in the kid section. She said the manga section is here... which it was, beside it. This box was in front of the kids books not to the right where the Manga section was.  I was so taken aback by her rude tone and the images that are now permanently impressed on my young 5 year old girls mind that I just left. 
 But inTruth I was supervising her... she was with me the whole time! Had she not pointed it out to me I would not have known these cartoons had sections  of graphic porn in them... 
To the shopkeeper/ owner?:
I am sorry that my 2 year old was loud and obnoxious and that in my haste I knocked over a few books. I do apologise for the aggravation it caused you (sincerely I really do) but I would like to point out to you that although bookstores do not sensor... they are merchandised  in such a way as to have books such as those in sections not near children's books.  I did not appreciate your nonchalance and rude dismissal  of an impressionable young mind viewing that content due to it being ill placed and yet you were very upset over a fallen stack of books... I will not be returning to this establishment nor will I recommend it for to extremely rude and poor customer service. Clearly this is not an establishment that caters to its customers young or old! I like to support independently owned businesses but in this case I will not bother.... better off going to Bigbox bookstores that merchandise thier selections in an appropriate way and have high customer service. Never have I had this problem at Indigo nor at a used bookstore I frequent in West Island.
So in short if you have kids and plan to visit this store be overly vigilant on what they pick up. 

If you are an adult going alone then it's a fine bookstore with good selection albeit the prices are higher and more fixed.. (7.95$) for most books no matter the size or genre. They are in good condition.

Used books are great gift ideas. I was pleased to find some non fiction classics. Great service.  Nice to know that this business has been around for over 2 decades

J'adore cette petite librairie  où je trouve de tout niveau livre... que ce soit du neuf..de l'occasion..prix très  abordable..beaucoup de stock. Très  bon accueil.  L'idée du livre d'occasion est superbe!!
