It is the best fine dining experience without fuss. Dishes are so creative, elegantly executed for both taste and presentation. Staff are beyond friendly and really show their passion in the food and service they provide. Beautifully setting and every detail is so well arranged and comfortable. Love the lightning over the table. Don’t miss this one when you are in town.
My family and I had a lovely evening at Le 101. The chef who was also the owner welcomed us by the door and throughout the whole dinner he made sure that we were enjoying our food and drinks. The ambiance of the restaurant was sophisticated and welcoming. The food and drinks were amazing, the chef even helped my family choose the right drink to accompany our meal. All of the staff was extremely friendly and tried to provide the best setting and environment for us to enjoy our dinner. They even gave us recommendations for spots to visit during our island exploration the next day. Overall, we enjoyed the food, drinks, and environment provided by the amazing staff and will definitely be visiting again when we come back to Quebec.
A hidden gem in the St Joseph neighborhood. Chic but relaxed atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We went for brunch. The menu had classic options such as eggs benedict or vienoisseries, all prepared with local ingredients. I recommend one dish per person and a second dish to share between two people, the portions look small but are satisfying. The prices are a little more expensive than the average brunch price but the dishes are worth it, everything was delicious! We will definitely go back to try the dinner menu.
If Michelin came to the city of Quebec, this place would no doubt have a star! I came here with my family for a casual fine dining experience and we were all quite literally blown away by the creativity of the dishes and the excellent pairings of local ingredients. Make an extra stop on your trip and come enjoy a unique and delicious dinner. The style is small plates and the torched mackerel and tortellini ratatouille entrees were incredible! Try the local wine or the cider and do save room for dessert. The tomato tarte with celery sorbet certainly made the list of wildest foods we had ever eaten but it was a welcome journey of ripe, sweet tomatoes presented in an unexpectedly awesome flavor combination.
I'd had been waiting for this evening for weeks and was not disappointed! My family took me for an early Mothers Day. Everything was great, the meal along with the wine pairing was delicious. I wish I could give it 6 stars. I look forward to going back again the next time I am in Quebec.
Delicious food featuring extraordinary creations such as the olive, cream cheese and raspberry desert. It’s just fun tasting enjoying it. Great staff and stylish location.
The place is small and intimate. It had a nice ambiance, slow service but the servers were great! We had the 5 course meal parings with wine. The food was okay, the wines were too young and floral for my liking. Although, the dessert was divine! We were disappointed with the owner, who went around each table to chat up, except for ours. We were the second last table to leave on a Saturday night. We didn’t see any ethnicity besides myself. I won’t be back here!
Dinner was delicious, definitely a world class dinning menu. Probably not the best place for English only visitors. They do offer an English menu, but most of the servers cannot define what’s on the plate. One guest seated near our table decided to make fun of us with a waiter for asking for a translation on a plate even though we were trying to speak our best french as a courtesy to them. That was definitely a low point but the food was amazing.
I was hoping more substance on the flavour instead of mere presentation. A little under staffed. A great little fun experience.
Amazing service. We were visiting the city and we stumbled on this jewel. Staff was accommodating during brunch on a Sunday when we did not have reservations. We got the best table on the place. Phillippe was kind and explained the menu to every detail. I can’t wait to go back! Thank you!
