Story

The Lazy Tulip Cafe is open for breakfast & lunch featuring mindful, healthy food options & organic, fair trade coffee located right downtown Barrie!

Open seven days a week we offer breakfast & lunch focusing on healthy, fresh foods. Everything is made in house including our bread, soups, quiche and all our baked goods offering gluten-free & vegan options on both menus. Coffee is provided by Planet Bean Coffee, freshly roasted in Guelph, Ontario.

Newly expanded we now have more room for larger parties and private events. Stay tuned as the Lazy Tulip continues to evolve into a cafe for the community where you'll find good soulful food, great coffee and a cool vibe!

Downtown Barrie has several cafes and eateries that are amazing, and this is one of the best. Friendly and charming service (the men who work here are so nice and helpful). Seating and the cafe itself is cozy, but the great decorating and arrangement makes everything feel spacious and airy. It's a restaurant that you want to sit and relax in. Lots of gluten-free and vegan options, and everything I've had is flavourful and original. Love the breakfast tacos, gluten-free zucchini muffins, lattes and golden milk.

We were waited on by Taylor, and what lovely service we had. She was an absolute gem, always checking in at the right time. I forget the other young waitress, but during our stay, I found out about a certain funny thing they did to each other as colleagues. She was delightful as well. The place itself has charm galore, and for it's smaller size, it's got a good menu of items available. I don't drink coffee, but my GF said it was good as well. Keep up the great work all! :)

This place is THE BEST - we eat here every time we're in Barrie. It's a small space but so cozy and the food is just wonderful. Im not sure if you can reserve a table in advance, but Im sure the take out is just as good :)

Love this hidden gem in Barrie! Eclectic comfy atmosphere. Met Michele who is the owner and she has created an authentic healthy restaurant. I have been there twice now and both times were excellent. I don't love in Barrie but will make a habit of stopping here each time I pass thru. Check out their organic coffee. Great Quality :o)

Great place for lunch or coffee and desert. Very friendly and accomdating. Fantastic veggie options. Highly recommended if you are tired of the traditional chain type coffee houses!
