The attorneys from the Law Office of Sivertson and Barrette, P.A., have a deep and personal understanding for the stress and worry our clients face. Our firm was started by Alf Sivertson and Michelle Barrette, who were one of the first husband and wife legal teams in the state of Minnesota dedicated to fighting for the rights of everyday Minnesotans. Their daughter, Marit Sivertson, is also part of the legal team.

Over 30 years later, the Law Office of Sivertson and Barrette, P.A., continues to help people throughout the state face some of their most personally difficult challenges in life. We aggressively help clients who have faced discrimination, retaliation and harassment fight for their legal rights and guide them through the litigation process. Our attorneys help clients prepare for the future through estate planning and assist our clients' loved ones with probate and estate administration.

For more than 30 years, our attorneys have paved the way for Minnesota employees and workers. In the early 1980s, we filed some of the first sexual harassment cases in the state. One early success against Ramsey County resulted in the implementation of the first government policy in Minnesota prohibiting sexual harassment in the workplace.
