This is THE best place to eat in Tobermory. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there. The hangover burrito was soooo good, with pulled pork and potatoes so flavourful - perfect before heading to Lions Head for a long hike. We got sandwiches packed perfectly for lunch and then went back for dinner. The shrimp tacos are so perfectly cooked, fresh, pops in your mouth. The fish taco is grilled and again super delightful. I tried the jackfruit taco and you could barely tell it wasn't pulled pork! They do takeout and have colourful picnic tables out front to eat on. Go visit Cris and crew, it's a must if you're up in the peninsula!
If you’re ever in Tobermory then Las Chulas is the place to go to! Our search for coffee brought us here one morning and I kid you not they literally have the best food in Tobermory. We went to all the other restaurants as well and they don’t even compare to what the wonderful ladies at Las Chulas are serving! The breakfast sandwiches are to die for, we had no expectations going in but we were so pleasantly surprised! The breakfast sandwiches here hot and freshly made and the coffee was delicious as well! My absolute favourite however has got to be the shrimp tacos. The shrimp was fresh and so juicy! We also got the pork tacos and that was packed with flavour as well. Oh, we also got the chicken pesto sandwich and that was pretty good as well The ladies running this place are gracious and friendly! Absolutely loved the whole experience and cannot wait to go back to Tobermory just so I can go eat there again!
Cute little Mexican spot with a great vacation-y vibe. A little over-priced though, $7 per taco and $8 for shrimp tacos. But I will say the shrimp taco is amazing! All the tacos were good but I just wish the birria tacos had a little more meat in them. The service was also fast and pleasant.
One of a kind Mexican food in the area, authentic, delicious, great customer service and the ladies in the back had put their heart and soul in the food and preparation. Worth the $140 I spent for 4 persons. Simply worth the visit.
The food is quite delicious and authentic. We had a smoked salmon bagel, Birria Tacos, La Paz chicken tacos & quesadilla, and Aloo Masala tacos. Overall it's fantastic & the service is excellent. The only downside is that the portion is relatively small. Each adult may need to have more than three tacos at least 23$ without tax for a proper meal.
I tried for the first time jackfruit corn tacos and the breakfast burrito. Enjoyed it. It was nice to have a vegan option. Reccommend having the tacos paired with a side and small drink to make it a combo considering the price point for it. Thank you Chulas! Vegetarian options: Vegan options
Highly recommend visiting here! Tried the chicken pesto and the Cuban sandwiches and they tasted fantastic and authentic! It’s such a great homemade feel and the iced latte was nice as well!
We had the most amazing lunch at Las Chulas! Authentic, flavourful, generous and VERY satisfying! The perfect lunch before heading to the Grotto for another adventure. Impeccable customer service with free heartwarming smiles! Would definitely recommend!!! Thank you Las Chulas
Found this small, authentic Mexican spot after a day on Flowerpot Island. My wife had shrimp tacos, I had Barria tacos sliced beef with onions and cilantro, my son had a chicken quesadilla and we shared an order of guacamole and chips. The food was phenomenal and the service was super friendly and fast. There is no seating inside, but we thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside at a picnic table while listening to Mexican music. Highly recommended!
Fantastic tacos and gluten free. This is the place to go in Tobermory for food. Delicious and nicely seasoned. Great owner too. I will go here again when I’m there. Thank you so much.
